Dr. Billie Sue Kyger is a 1983 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. She also received her pharmacy degree from OSU in 1979 and holds an Ohio license in both professions. Dr. Billie Sue enjoys working with her husband, Dr. Timothy Kyger, and is very proud of all the dental team members in her office. "Our staff is extremely talented and committed to excellence both in clinical care and patient service. We emphasize continuing education, professionalism, and the utilization of technology to enhance our clinical practice. Providing quality oral health care in a comfortable and friendly environment is not just our goal, it is our purpose."
In addition to Dr. Kyger's practice commitment, her leadership skills have taken her to many state and national positions. She was appointed by Governor Taft and Governor Strickland respectively to serve on the Ohio State Dental Board from 2004 until 2011. She served as president of the board in 2010. …Also, Dr. Kyger has been President of the Ohio Dental Association in 2003 and President of the OSU College of Dentistry Alumni Association from 1992-1993. Additionally, she has been a delegate to both the Ohio Dental Association and the American Dental Association and has served on both the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs and the Council on Dental Practice, which she chaired. She is a fellow in the American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Most recently, she has been chosen by the Commission on Dental Accreditation as a predoctoral site consultant. Finally, Dr. Kyger will be recognized at the Ohio Dental Association 2011 Annual Meeting as the ODA Distinguished Dentist. Dr. Kyger has a strong commitment to professional service and giving back to the community.
Dr. Kyger comments, "Community pride is a value that I take very seriously. I am very honored to live in Southeastern Ohio and always strive to improve the quality of life for both the citizens who I serve and my personal and dental family."
