Dr. Billy Max Eden, MD

We have had two family members see Dr Eden for sleep studies. I have been with them to all the appointments. We had no trouble seeing Dr Eden for initial visits and follow ups if we scheduled early. He always explained everything very well, and took all the time needed to answer our questions. The staff for the overnight sleep studies were wonderful and made us feel relaxed and at home. The CPAP technician, Gabbi, is very helpful with mask fitting and exchanges. The office is very comfortable. We are glad to have found Dr Eden and his friendly staff.

Who is Dr. Billy Eden? Is he still alive? I have had several sleep studies over the last 20 years and have found this operation to be terrible. DR Eden attaches his name to Texas Sleep Clinic and signs the reports. Several people have the view that sleep studies and subsequent prescriptions are a scam. I am not one of those. I don't enjoy sleep studies but see the benefits of a Cpap. I have advanced in my sleep apnea condition and therefore needed a new study, prescription and machine. I never spoke to a Dr Billy Eden, and very seldom spoke to the nurse practitioner. The Texas Sleep Clinic, Plano & Mckinney, based in Sherman, does not have staff readily versed in following up with insurance, pre-certification issues and reporting back. It appears to me I had to hold their hand and explain the next steps, several times. Many times I get a return call and we have to go over the same action items they need to do to make progress with my issues. TSC has even told me I can go on line and… buy the exact mask that worked in the study. What? The mask that was with the new equipment was not appropriate for my condition. It could not handle the increased pressure. So the suggestion was they would just reduce the pressure. The study & subsequent script calls for a certain pressure. I realize that doctors can not personally dispense medicine and medical equipment, for public sale, And usually are not involved in those transactions. The Texas Sleep Clinic has major issues and Dr Billy Eden is the doctor of record.. I hope I finally get what I need and I will certainly double check any other sleep clinics I may need to use in the future. I know they won't like this review, but I just need to get things resolved and get out of there.

Dr. Eden and the overnight staff were good. However, his office staff does not ever answer the phone, and does not return calls in a timely manner. The office staff do not provide information after the sleep test. The nurses or medical assistants have extremely poor communication skills, they do not want to provide information to the patient.

I have been using Dr. Eden for many years and have enjoyed having him as one of my specialist due to him having an excellent bedside manner and fairly comical. He is quick to do necessary testing, but unfortunately; there are people out here, like myself, that shows no rhymn or reason as to why I dont sleep for days on end and will fall alseep at a red light while in the car. Think its time to try something new and luckily he isnt so set in his ways that he has the patients best interest in mind as he treats. If you are looking for a doctor with good bedside manner, professional and a bit comical...Dr. Billy is your man!

Been there 3 times, once for overnight sleep analysis, other to go over results and other for re-evaluation. Never met the Dr. once.

How can I properly rate a doctor who never even bothered to meet me? No, he had his nice PA perform both consultations. I spent thousands of dollars with this guy and he never even sticks his head in the door and says thanks? Now, let's talk about follow up after a returned the cpap loaner which did nothing to help me... Oh, wait, we can't talk about that because there was no follow up! What a complete waiste of time and money.
