Dr. Billy Allen May JR., MD

Dr. May is, in my opinion, exactly what a doctor should be. He has the best bedside manner and he will not stop until he finds the accurate diagnosis that his patient has. He reminds me of one of those old fashion Drs. who actually cares and is the kind of Dr. a patient needs!

My entire family has seen Dr. May and he is the best doctor I have seen in Baton Rouge. He believes in collecting data on the body in terms of blood work, and he is very knowledgeable about interpreting the results and recommending solutions. You may have to wait a bit of time in his office but he is worth the wait and he spends alot of time with each patient.

It doesn't matter if your going in for sinus issues or pains this is always the go too fix for every problem

Billy May listens to his patients but maybe his patients should listen to him less. Seems like he has a time/period when all patients, male and female get the same diagnosis and receive the same prescription.

Dr. May is amazing. I personally have worked in the medical field for over 20 years and he is by far one of the best physicians that I have encountered. All of my family as well as all of my extended family sees Dr May. While Dr May is an excellent physician, there are often long wait times (we average 3-4 hours per visit), issues with getting responses from his office staff (Averaging 4+ days to return phone calls IF they are returned), patient files are stacked all over the office instead of filed away, test results have not been given to us unless we ask Dr May personally when in for an appointment, referrals for other specialists or testing has taken months each time it has been needed, and other similar issues. As someone who has been in this field, I am so saddened that Dr May's reputation is dampened by the office staff.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. May for a while. He listens to his patients, takes the time needed to help the patient with their concerns. He is very kind and efficient. He is a very caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable doctor! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good doctor.

This is a doctor who really cares about his patients. He listens to what his patients are telling him about their ailments and is a very compassionate doctor and human being. I have a serious disease and don't think I would even be alive if it hadn't been for Dr. May.
