Dr. Birch Ann Porter, MD

I'm currently her patient and have been now for about a year or more she is kind a great listener and her her care for me is above and beyond I think she ROCKS !

I've been going to her for a number of years and it just keeps getting worse. She has a god complex and acts like she is all important. I simply want a good doctor - one who cares about ME. She's difficult to get in with, doesn't spend more than 5-7 minutes talking with you when you're finally able to see her and her medical assistant Ginger - is abysmal. She has no business being a medical assistant. She's rude to patients, rude to peers and I've even watch an interaction between her and her supervisor which bordered on insubordinate. She doesn't ever answer my questions and has a tone every time I speak to her on the phone. Dr. Porter would be better served getting a new assistant. Maybe the combination of the 2 is what makes the experience of seeing her go from bad to worse?! Definitely time to change providers - feeling tormented when I go to the doctor is not something I'm keen on continuing. Try your luck with one of her partners - they all seem wonderful, are easy to… get in with and care. Dr. Porter - it might be time to retire.

Dr. Porter has been my principal doctor since 1997. I am a Type 2 diabetic who suffers from moderate kidney disease, glaucoma and high blood pressure. I see Dr. Porter for the diabetes and see other specialists for the other problems. I've been happy with her care, and have recommended her to several others. She is competent, efficient and caring.

If your just going to her for check ups and the occasional cough, you shouldn't have any complaints about her. But, if your like me and have a chronic medical condition find another doctor!
