Bistra Vlassakova, MD

Dr. Bistra G. Vlassakova is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and a senior associate in Perioperative Anesthesia within the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine, as well as an assistant professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. She specializes in pediatric anesthesiology and perioperative care for infants, children, and adolescents undergoing complex surgical and diagnostic procedures. Dr. Vlassakova earned her medical degree from the Medical University in Varna, Bulgaria, completed an internship in internal medicine at Penn State University/Milton Hershey Medical Center, an anesthesiology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and a fellowship in pediatric anesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital.
