Dr Pomerants is an incredible surgeon, I could not recommend him enough. I saw him for a laparoscopic colectomy. He is very straight forward and to the point, telling you exactly what to expect but doing so in a way that eased both me and my husbands concerns. I came into many of my appointments with lists of questions that he happened to answer without me even asking. He also has a great sense of humor which makes him very personable. I could not have asked for a better experience!

Dr Pomerants is a great and knowledgeable surgeon that takes time to discuss everything with you and makes sure you feel comfortable. He was very reassuring to me through my process with him and has a great sense of humor and personality. I would not want anyone else performing my surgery.

I was referred to him for hernia repair surgery and the whole experience went as well as it could possibly have gone. The office staff was friendly, helpful and competent in making appointments and during pre- and post-op visits. Initially I asked Dr. Pomerants to speak loudly and clearly because of my hearing issues and he remembered to do so all the time (although most people forget after the first 2-3 minutes of speaking). His explanations were clear and concise. He is efficient almost to the point of one feeling rushed, but not quite. I like that. Yet he was fine with taking plenty of time to address my concerns and answer my questions. The surgery went well and so did the healing process. He came across to me as a good, competent surgeon who I wouldn't hesitate to go to again if I needed another surgery of the general kind he does.

Dr. Pomerants is an amazing surgeon that did my emergency appendectomy. He was thorough and explained everything before and after. Getting a follow up appt at his office was quick and easy. His staff was friendly and efficient and the dr was very personable. I would highly recommend Dr. Pomerants.

Pomerants greeted me with "I'm going to tell you everything I know about hernias!" Oh, I thought, I bet you say that to all the abdominal walls! More to the point, I thought, oh, I hope not! But he gave me what I needed to know; and we proceeded. Then I got COVID, my first bout of it. In 2024. Recovered, re-scheduled without difficulty (his office staff are superb), and arrived at the 5:15 a.m. time. My surgical experience was...well, I was asleep, frankly, or something like it; recovery has been really good. But before I went into surgery, Dr. Pomerants dropped by to see if I had any further questions. Despite the early hour and not having had any coffee, I did, and he answered them all and, in response to my question about videos, directed me to YouTube, where I watched a video using the DaVinci robot for precisely the issue I had -- a right inguinal hernia. Riveting! And a stern reminder that it's good to have a skilled, careful and experienced practitioner on your side. I note the… reviews which question Dr. Pomerants' manner; I suspect he doesn't suffer fools gladly, and moves rapidly. That, at least, is my thought on the 'no bedside manner' and 'rushed' and 'wouldn't answer questions' comments; to me, this is just a misunderstanding of style. I myself was enthusiastic and chatty, but realized he had other things to do than engage in conversation with me, so I was not the least disturbed to address my last comment to his retreating back! He's off, I thought, to fix someone else's complex problem; and hooray for that. I concur with reviewers who remark on his sense of humour. To me, this is an absolute indicator of primary intellect, so I take it as a good sign
