Dr. Blaine P Cusack, DDS

I would rate the doctor’s face to face interaction, but he refused to leave his office to even have a conversation with me, despite me being there for a scheduled appt. Instead, he left his new front desk assistant, who still is clearly not ready to take on the task of running the office (likely not even her fault-but rather his) and his hygienist (who was the only person out of the three to show any sort of compassion for my situation) to deal with my “visit” which was a mess, start to finish. I was the only patient in the tiny office, and I could hear him in his office, which means he could hear me outside. As the OWNER of the business, I cannot fathom leaving a patient standing outside of my office door and letting my hygienist and new assistant take the fall. I went to him specifically bc he’s “supposed” to be a TMJ specialist, and my migraines have become unbearable. I waited three weeks for this appt and was looking forward to getting some help. I have met with a series of… neurologists and GP’s, this was supposed to be another piece of the puzzle. Instead of coming out and taking 2 minutes to TALK to me about my situation, I was met with hostilely (second hand at that) over the X-rays I brought in and insurance. I was told to that to even speak to him, I needed to agree to pay for a consultation and another round of X-rays out of pocket. I have dental insurance, but at this point I was just trying to explain my situation and get some clarity as to why he couldn’t help me with what I provided, but again, the man refused to leave his office. I left having never even spoken to the doctor and in tears.

Although Dr. Cusack approached my case with the best intentions I ultimately left in more pain than I entered with. His approach to TMJ in my opinion is more one size fits all compared with my current specialist who has tailored my treatment to my specific case. I would not recommend him for TMJ treatment.

Great doc - knows his stuff. Knows so much about health beyond teeth --- he's into holistic - preventive measures - because of him I found out I had sleep apnea. My satisfaction is 4 only because he is expensive.
