Dr. Blake Richard Lambourne, MD

I had to use the word “quack”, because Blake Lambourne was quick to throw this word out regarding the medical professional who placed me on hormone therapy. He was happy to throw out this term in reference to one of his own colleagues as well. He was eye rolling, and unbelievably obnoxious. He refused to do bloodwork to substantiate his assertion. It felt as though he was going through my medical history to invalidate every diagnosis and proceedure that I’ve ever had. I waited several months to get this new patient appointment, save your time and find someone with knowledge and emotional intelligence. I come from a long line of doctors, and this man is an embarrassment to the profession.

I went here to establish care with a new doctor after getting married and therefore getting new insurance. I have been formally diagnosed with PCOS by not only my previous OB but also my endocrinologist. I was seen by Doctor Blake Lambourne and I will be reporting him to the medical board. The first thing he says to me when walking in the room with a LOT of attitude was "Who diagnosed you with PCOS? You don't have PCOS. I don't believe anyone who has been given this diagnosis." I explained my symptoms as calmly as I could and he proceeded to continue arguing with me saying I wasn't fat enough to have PCOS (I've lost 20 lbs this last year), I didn't have enough cysts to have PCOS, I couldn't have gotten pregnant with PCOS (It took me 8 months of ACTIVE TRYING as a young 20 year old to get pregnant) and completely ignored my other symptoms (irregular, heavy periods, pain, hair loss on head, hair growth elsewhere, high androgen levels). I then explained I didn't appreciate his attitude… and dismissal of my diagnosis as I was being treated by not just him. To which he RUDELY responded well I don't see any of your labs, who did your labs, I can't find them in this system and we can usually steal them, and they probably did the wrong ones. THEN he started going after other diagnosis I have that have NOTHING to do with his profession at all. I will NOT be returning and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. DOCTORS LIKE HIM ARE THE REASON WOMEN GO WITHOUT THE CARE THEY NEED!!!!!!!

He's caring, doesn't rush you, listens well, is level headed, respects my decision to use NFP, and is so calm and smiles even when I had a scary situation arise. He is great with difficult situations and was so helpful even during my healing process. He called to check on me afterwards to make sure I was healing alright and if I needed any referrals for other specialists. So thankful for him. He's been my Dr through all of my children's births. I wish he could be my doctor for everything! Since he delivers babies during the week, I call ahead to see if he's running on time. The staff is good about giving estimated time of arrival.

Dr. Lambourne is a wonderful caring Doctor. He spends time with you and makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Lambourne delivered both my babies and now 4 years later he still remembers me and my kids! He really is a wonderful OB and I would recommend him to anyone! So luck to have him.

I had a scary lump. Dr. Lambourne was so good with me. He spent at least 1/2 hour getting my history and really listening to me. I have never had a doctor spend so much time with me. He seemed truly interested in my wellbeing and I never felt rushed. I don't know if I have ever felt so well cared for by a doctor in my life. If only he could be my GP as well! He went above and beyond and I will never see another OBGYN again - he's the man! He was wonderful and I walked out feeling very confident with his diagnosis and advice!

I had my first child, horrible experience his nurse was very nice she kept apologizing for him and the waittime, the front desk book me a appt with him while he was on vacation so I had to reschedule and it was 6 weeks out luckily I was only in my second trimester, I ended up having to go back to the hospital because of a endometriosis and he checked on me only once, and during my last day to be discharged he made me wait all day and never came, the hospital nurse said he called and said she could discharge me, I don't know why he made me wait 10 hours .

Dr. Lambourne has been my OB for 10 years and has delivered all 4 of my children. His staff is amazing, friendly, helpful and professional. I love that he will listen to concerns and address them. He respects our decisions on genetic testing and Natural Family Planning. After moving more than 30 min away a chose to keep him as my OB becasue he is worth it. The only downfall is that because he does do deliveries for his patients, sometimes there is a long wait for an appointment. I don't mind though, it gives me time to catch up on my reading :D
