Dr. Blake Phillips, MD

Dr. Phillips is probably a good surgeon. He performed a cervical disc replacement on me 2 months ago. I have had significant post surgical pain but I "think" its normal. I really wouldn't know for sure because other than seeing me in office initially, the last time I saw him or heard from him was the morning of my surgery. This despite my repeated requests for a telehealth visit with him as I live 3 1/2 hours (1 one way) away. I also requested a phone call. Both requests were simply ignored. My only other contact has been through his nursing staff. And therein lies the problem and my biggest regret and disappointment. This has been an exercise in absolute frustration. The nursing staff has consistently been rude, condescending, unaccomodating, unkind, and brusque. I am stupefied by this experience. Its been so insulting and stressful that I have been left with no other option than to obtain my records from this office and transfer my care to another neurosurgeon. I… literally cannot deal with the toxic dynamics of this office anymore. I wish future patients the best of luck.

I cannot believe the patience and the kindness that this doctor has shown me by doing my surgery for a sciatic problem that run through my hip he done it on Mother's Day this year! that was on a Sunday so that was totally amazing that this Dr Phillips would take me under his wing and I wasn't even his patient at the time my husband was!! Will never be able to tell you how much that he helped me out of pain I am extremely excited that my pain is no longer there he fixed I cyst that was between the 4th and 5th vertebrae I am doing great after three and a half months would recommend him to anyone!

After putting off back surgery for years after hearing horror stories of people ending up worse after surgery than they were before surgery. I finally decided to talk with Dr. Phillips after my regular doctor had to have emergency back surgery and it was performed by Dr. Phillips. I chose to have the back procedure done and had I of known 10 years ago what I do now I would have done this much sooner. His professionalism his staff and his calming nature made this a very easy decision for me to have the operation done. After only about a week I began to notice a dramatic reduction in pain and I could not recommend anyone higher than Dr. Phillips. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to enjoy the rest of my life without the constant pain that I felt previously!,

what I liked about Dr Phillips is his personality and the way that he explained the problem that I was having with my back and what procedure that he was going to do to get me to feeling better and back on my feet and feeling better and he gave me the opportunity to ask questions and voice my concerns he was very open and honest
