Blesilda Q. Ellis, MD, FCCP, FACP is from Malaybalay, Bukidnon, Philippines. She received her bachelor of science degree in Botany from the University of the Philippines and completed Medical School at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines. Dr. Ellis interned at the University of the East in the Philippines as well as at St. Michaelâ€™s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where she also completed her residency. She completed her critical care fellowship at St. Michaelâ€™s and her pulmonary disease fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine, and is a Fellow with the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Ellis is also a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine and the American Thoracic Society. She joined Pulmonary Associates in 2015.

Dr Ellis is a very professional doctor that is concerned with the whole person when it comes to treating her patients. Her staff is considered of the patients,taking time to listen to each concern. Nurse Practitioner stays up to date on each patient.

Because of my deep grief, it has taken me more than 2 years to express my opinion of Dr. Ellis. She saw my husband both times he was taken to the emergency room at the Mobile Infirmary and both times after he was admitted. She did all she could to help my husband. I would like to thank her for all she did. If I knew then what I know now, my husband would still be alive. If my husband would have been able to see Dr. Ellis right after his stroke, I believe we would be celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary this month. God bless this fine woman!

There are too many great Pulmonary doctors out there - be selective. We had no choice as Dr. Ellis was working in the ICU and it was a very unfortunate experience for my family.

Dr. Ellis has been my pulmonary physician for almost 2 years and literally saved my life. I had been misdiagnosed in another state and I am much healthier today because of her. Her knowledge of her profession is astounding and her commitment to her patients is exemplary. If anyone is looking for a physician with exceptional pulmonary knowledge, Dr. Ellis is the doctor to see.

Dr. Ellis is caring and compassionate. She is extremely intelligent and more thorough than any doctor I have ever had. She is not afraid to ask tough questions and continue to research and stay on top of the latest techniques. I am so lucky to have found her.
