Dr. Bonita Louise Kolrud, MD

She is AMAZING!! She helped me with my pcos, she had faith in me and she helped me get on feet of losing weight after I gained so much and set a goal plan. She pushed me! I lost 43 pounds because of her. She is very caring, I had miscarriage early 2018, she had to do an d/c and she held my hand said this is not the way I wanted this for you and your hubby! Next time will be the one and your baby healthy. When I had my check up, she said this must be hard for you to be here and she said she was here for me and put her hand on my arm. Thank you Dr. Kolrud for everything!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. B. Kolrud nearly 5 years and have received EXCELLENT care and patient services. She was able to uncover a medical condition on my first visit that my former gynecologist never recognize as a serious issue. Dr. Kolrud presented different medical and holistic options. She listened to my needs for the least invasive surgical option and understood my concerns before, during and after my surgery. My surgery was highly successful! Always attentive, professional, kind and knowledgeable, Dr. Kolrud's warm smile and a gentle touch are special. Her support team is highly professional. I went to Dr. Bonita Kolrud a few times. I must say I think she is good at her vocation and that is not why I am unhappy with her as a Doctor. She is good at finding and getting a diagnosis for a problem pretty quickly. The problem, however lies in her sarcastic, uncaring bedside manner. I had a question for the Doctor regarding some massive fatigue that I was battling at the time. It interfered with my ability to excercise and take walks as I was always acustumed to doing and I thought that Dr. Kolrud might have some insight for me about my symptoms or could perhaps send me to a Specialist would could look into it deeper. Dr. Kolrud asked what my current workout schedule looked like. I told her that because of these new symptoms (severe pain after taking my normal walk and terrible fatigue) that I was only taking a mile walk per day and sometimes not even that depending on the day. Instead of being concerned or perhaps think that "hey we have a woman here in her mid-twenties… who should be much more active," instead I was told in a very, uncaring, sarcastic manner, "I have 80 year old grannies who can workout longer than you do." Instead of trying to get to the root of this problem I was laughed at and told that ridiculous statement. I was seeking a possible explanation for these new and troubling symptoms, but that is not what I got. That was the last time I ever went to her. Thank God I had a smart and on the ball primary care Doctor who sent me to a Rheumatologist and I was diagnosed with a serious autoimmune disease. I feel if Dr. Kolrud would have had a more professional bedside manner and taken my complaint more seriously, that my disagnosis may have been discovered a little sooner. After getting the proper diagnoses of my disease, I have learned a few things: #1 There is never any need to make a patient feel inferior or to compare him/her with other patients in their practice. #2 I learned that I am not a lazy person - that I was suffering from an undiagnosed Autoimmune disease and that was the reason for my lack of endurance - NOT LAZINESS and #3 There are too many really good Doctors out there who DO CARE and DO not say cruel things to their patients.
