Dr. Bonnie Louise Bremer, MD

The most responsive and thorough doctor by far I’ve had. She doesn’t waste time and is very responsive to issues and concerns. Her nurse is equally thorough and personable. I highly recommend her!

The very first time I met Dr Bremer years ago I felt she had no bedside manner. The problem was she wasnt giving me the answers I wanted to hear. I told her she made me feel like I wanted to just end my life and her words "Not on my watch you wont". She made me realize that I wasnt depressed I was grieving the loss of my Mother. She said if she really believed I was depressed she would prescribe anti's for me but instead she took the time and talked to me. She had been through it herself and it took her a very long time to be ok. I see her once a year and even lost my Dad during this. If you want to be cuddled like a child shes not the person. Shes honest and kind and does one helluva job at being a Dr. Shes not a Alarmist. Shes more of just a "Lets check it out kind of Dr,) I recommended her to many people who are now her patients.

I knew Dr Bremer when she was struggling to get patients and years ago then, she was a good MD who provided appropriate care, seemed good at diagnostics, and as the big problem, complied with state and federal law for the operation of a medical practice, for the practice of medicine, and for medical records which is no longer the case. The MD has become someone who behaves like a violent damage infliction prima donna who in the most recent example repeating a problem years ago covered up by blaming the staff, I was harassed by a person at the Urbancare practice now too illegally aborting long term maintenance prescriptions of Bremer's like a violent child on a playground falsifying statements about a need to see the doctor again and again and again, which the CDC for the public safety publishes guidelines that as in all prior years is not the case, and for even the opiate epidemic, that doctor would need to physically examine the patient once a year. Profiteering with office staff that… are illegal, inappropriate, noncompliant with minimum standards for theiir abuses of medical charts and patient information at both practices by persons who seem like the only thing they know how to do is steal and the doctors are required not to permit to contact people, use information or otherwise have any role in health care period for life. The problem is clearly Bremer and most recently since I live a ways from their office and had been seeing an MD nearby, had gone back to her practice about a month ago. Bremer waits a month and then decides to drop victims from the practice of the illegal possible to prosecute prima dona who the law requires provide the public with a minimum of 30 days notice including prescription refills and is currently attempting to force me to pay for an emergency room for routine prescriptions because she felt like it. I do not recommend what Bremer has turned into and think she need to stop practicing medicine as it clearly is no longer anything she has the required minimum for public safety as someone who if she can find a job can teach full time since she started this when she started working part time some years ago and is clearly dangerous to the public and needs to quit practicing since clearly dangerously negligent and operating illegally that there is no excuse for as its just not that difficult to give 30 days notice if she has any actual excuse and refill the prescriptions that for the most part she has writen for most of the last 10 years.

Dr. Bremer was my doctor for about 6 years. My problems with her and her staff was trying to get a prescription for 90 days with 3 refills. I am a senior on 2 medications for life and they would not give me refills on my medication. I also found that she sends you for many tests that are not needed. Her staff seems to be very incompetent and very difficult to get along with. When I complained she told me not to make any further appointments because she has refused to see me.

I've been seeing Dr. Bremer for the past 12 years. She is a wonderful and very well educated doctor. Many of my friends and family also go to her and we all rave about the care she provides. She is somewhat business-like at first, but as she gets to know you she becomes very easy to talk to and relate to. She is willing to take the time with you and listen to you. She has always been on point, never rushed me, listened to me and treated any issues I have had. She also refers to top-notch specialists when necessary instead of trying to treat everything. She also has her degree in Physical Therapy, which greatly expands her medical knowledge and understanding. I have read some of the negative comments on here and I think they are more a factor of the practice she was with and not the doctor. Her FORMER practice, which was Fox Valley Internal Medicine, was wonderful until the practice was bought out by Centegra several years ago. Immediately, the vibe in the office was much different,… less personal and much more "corporate". Things were run differently and patients were treated more like numbers rather than people. I do not think this was anything Dr. Bremer had control over. She has since left that practice and joined another practice in Crystal Lake -- Urbandoc. And, I'm thrilled that her wonderful nurse, Gina, has moved practices with her! She's a wonderful doctor that I trust completely.

Dr. Bremer is great. I have a complex medical history, and Dr. Bremer helps me keep healthy. She is direct, to the point, and looks at things wholistically. She has been my physician for 4 ears, and I hope she never retires. :)

I was a long term patient and my direct contact with Dr Bremer was always very good. However, they hired a new nurse and a practice manager to save her time. I got signed letters demanding expensive duplicate tests or abrupt cessation of long term maintenance prescriptions would ensue, having seen the doctor within the prior 3 months. Including a letter also signed, about a prescription that I don't take and as a class is written by a specialist. The staff blocked making an appointment and the nurse refused to cooperate with requests for information. I was threatened with "discipline" by the staff. Bringing any of this to their attention resulted in a refusal to provide mandatory medical services for any ongoing patient or permit me to make an appointment. I instead was contacted by staff employees repetitiously about "not obeying orders" and by the end of the month of this, I also started getting offensive personal ad sex solication responses. I was finally sent a letter also… signed by the doctor that does not include the full name of the practice manager who directed this, stating that its "alla bout relationships" and terminating all nonexistent health care to the point of the entire practice which for some reason at no time at any site was also an option for me to pursue the demanded $1200 in duplicative blood tests and office visits for prescriptions they don't even write in the one case, all however consistent with the sex ad offensive harassment, prescriptions that abrupt cessation of can cause severe danger to or death for the patient to the point of also forcing emergency room bankrupting for the abrupt cessation entertainment on the part of the staff who also seemed to be how put in offensive sex solicitation ads that the practice has to be terminated from permitting access to the charts or other information of patients.

I was very nervous for my appointment but as soon as Dr. Bremer came in the room I was calm. She has a warmness to her that you feel immediately. She is very detailed in her exam and doesnt miss a beat. She wanted to order a sleep study and I told her I didn't wish to do that at this time and she told me we can revisit the topic when I want. Never felt pressured or like she was just trying to charge me for things. I WILL BE GOING BACK TO HER!!!

First time I had a physical with this Dr. she took tests that were not a part of the routine exam. Almost cost me $800 out of my pocket but was able to straighten it out. 2nd physical exam this year was 9 minutes late for the appointment so she refused to see me. Sent me home and was told to reschedule.

Looking for a doctor who is kind and easy to work with? Then this is not your doctor. She is awful and so is her assistant. Clearly, she is in it for the money and not her patients. Every question requires a new appt.
