Dr. Boris Balson, MD

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Balson. I went to see him concerned about allergies. During our appointment he was dismissive, rude and hostile. His 'bedside manner' was terrible! At one point I mentioned the hunch I had in regards to my allergic reaction and he said " who is the doctor, you or me? If you've already diagnosed yourself, tell me what you're doing here" RUDE!!! He didn't actually help me in any regard and later when I was getting tests done he stormed in and caused a scene at the lab. A month and zero answers later, it turned out my initial hunch he so rudely dismissed was correct. In addition to this terrible waste of time, I just received a medical bill from his office for $1,400 after they'd said I was covered by insurance! Ridiculous and I will not be paying it. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere, this doctor is just the worst!!

i went to his office and waited over an hour to be seen after being put into an exam room. he then came into the room and i felt like i was being rushed while i was talking to him. his facial expressions just showed that he didn’t care about anything i was trying to tell him regarding my health. the front desk staff is snotty. it was just a horrible visit all around. don’t waste your time unless you want to feel rushed and feel stupid for not answering his questions correctly.

did not listen, did not spend time with me. was really interested in collecting his money and moving on

I don't understand why Dr Balson received such good reviews..I was expecting him to be pretty good based on the reviews online, but I found him to prescribe me medication I did not need (ie: nasal spray when I don't even have any sneezing problems), and then a multiple pack of ointment when I have just 1 small patch of rash that was caused by the allergy skin test that was performed in the office! The secretary performed the allergy test (without wearing any rubber gloves - just did not seem right) and she poked me a few times without being careful causing some blood to draw when it shouldn't have. They told me I was allergic to everything - but yet when I informed him I didn't have sneezing or itchy eyes, they still made me take like 5 different medications, which was way too much. I question the info he provided because I told him I dont have certain symptoms, yet he still said that I was allergic to cats (I have been around cats for months without any visible allergies to them). … From what it looks like, he is just prescribing as many things as he can to me just to profit..his secretary is shady too - the diagnosis is off. I would not recommend Dr. Balson

Don't waste your time and money... I thought that I just need to get an allergy test - and even not a good doctor could do this. So I got an appointment for visit Dr. Balson despite of not a good reviews. Now I think that it was almost useless visit..

I saw doctor balson last week and really appreciated the visit. It was my first appointment with the doctor and I have no idea how regulars are treated but he made me feel totally relaxed. My past allergist always tried to pressure me into taking a ton of medicines and I was never 100% sure that I needed them. I suppose its a question of trust. Dr. Balson, on the other hand, was very careful in explaining the effects (and side effects) of various medications. He made sure I was informed about my food allergies and that I participated fully in any decision that would affect my health. I would recommend him.

Getting an appointment with Dr. Balson was very easy. During the visit, he proved gave me all the time I needed and didnt try to preassure me into a prescription I didnt need. We spoke for a while and he outlined the benefits, costs and side effects of all available options. He was fantastic at explaining things in plain English and was clear about what various treatment alternatives would mean for me. I had a very good experience and plan on seeing him again.
