Dr. Borwen Paul P Lee

Went to Dr Lee for general exam and a second opinion. Had seen another dentist who said I needed 4 fillings. I've kept up with regular cleanings and exams, but due to Covid, had not for the last year. Hardly enough to have quickly developed numerous cavities. I left with a complete distrust of Dr Lee. Even though I sent recent xrays prior to my visit he insisted on doing $200 worth more that were not necessary & full color photos of my teeth. Did not ASK me first. He spent about 10 minutes with me, displaying the full color views on his wide screen tv, saying he saw cracks, that 2 crowns and 8 fillings needed replacing and more. When leaving I asked for a written estimate. They said they'd have to email it. Never got it. Meanwhile, his dental assistant called to try to schedule the work. I said, there's no way I'm agreeing to anything without a written estimate! Several days later it arrived: $7,000! I then went to a well-respected dentist who's been practicing for a long time and has… a solid reputation. His assessment? NOTHING needs to be done. Just come back for a cleaning in 6 months. My advice is to avoid Dr Lee and find an honest, ethical dentist. He's got a slick, state-of-the-art office and is anxious to personally hand out bottled water and gift bags to first visit patients, but don't be fooled. Before I even got in my car I had a notice on my phone to "rate" my experience. Then 2 more by email. This guy is all about putting on a show, getting ratings and $$$, not about good honest care. STAY AWAY.
