Dr. Boyd Withers Haynes III, MD

After fighting knee pain for years the decision to have a partial knee replacement was made. The surgery went well...recovery not so much. My degree of flexion took more time than expected. The key to recovery is physical therapy and movement!! Cannot stress that enough. Follow up was not what I expected it to be but this is an eye opener for me if I need further surgeries. The doctor could have been more thorough with concerns, etc but instead I felt like I was another number in the practice.

In two days time I am scheduled for a right hip replacement with Dr. Boyd Haynes. This is just eight weeks after he replaced my left hip . Thanks to Dr Haynes's masterful surgery I am pain free on that side with extended mobility. Any fear I had before the surgery was gently assuaged by his assuring confidence and cheery manner. Moments before going into the operating room he explained the procedure in terms that a layman, such as I, could understand. In addition he shared with me his love of surgery which he described as "creative". In that short but meaningful interation I realised this was not only a competent surgeon but a craftsman and artist who took pride in his work. I found myself smiling as I do today. Naturally I am apprehensive about surgery but not about his skills. The only really scarey thought is if I had not chosen him! This man has given me back my life. There are no adequate words of appreciation. So here goes Round Two!

Dr Haynes treated me for my knee problem. It was an old injury with new complications. I felt I was in great hands. It is very attentive and kind. He listened to my long story.

After 3 years of none stop pain and unable to use my right arm completely, and continuing to put off surgery, I decided to do it. And so glad I did. Dr. Haynes and his entire team are phenomenal. So pleasant and compassionate. Following his advice and guidance physical therapy is the way to go. Although painful, it is a MUST to completely get your mobility and strength back. (credit to OSC Physical Therapy as well) Dr. Boyd Haynes is the epitome of excellence in orthopedic surgery.

I am so happy that I was recommended to have my hip replacement done by Dr. Haynes. I experiences excellent treatment care of my concerns after the surgery. I am able to walk and dance like I use to. My concern was, I would be able to wear my high heels, (YES I CAN) LOL. I would recommend anyone who need to have hip replacement surgery to start with Dr. Haynes and finish with him. He has a wonderful staff which follows all of his instructions. Thank you Dr. Haynes I got my life back.

I came to his office with terrible knee pain.Sick and tired of people blaming my weight & just age! The doctor ordered x-rays which showed arthritis.I tried cortisone injections & the new thick "gel" injections. Not much help. After insisting on a MRI , it revealed torn meniscus in both knees along with arthritis. I was relived to find the source of pain. Dr Haynes quickly offered me a option of arthroscopic surgery as a answer to relieve the pain and then knee replacement later if no success. I'm doing one knee at a time and just had arthroscopic surgery on my right knee. WOW what a relief!! I'm so pleased by my results I have already scheduled the other knee. The office is big but don't let it deter you. They are efficient, friendly and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I would only recommend Dr. Haynes to my loved ones. Dr. Haynes has treated not only me but my mother as well . When I was experiencing major hip pain my mother highly recommended Dr. Haynes. I'm so grateful she did! Dr. Haynes an outstanding surgeon, physician and person. Dr. Haynes has a wonderful sense of humor and is understanding. He takes the time and listens and truly cares his patients. He has given me back a great quality of life!!

Dr. Haynes accurately diagnosed me after a misdiagnosis at another clinic and quickly took action to remedy my issues. He took time to explain the different options for relieving my bilateral carpal and cubital tunnel syndromes. We decided surgery was the best option to meet the demands of my work and at-home life. Before surgery, he had wonderful bedside manner and made me feel comfortable. I felt confident I was in the right hands. After surgery, he called to ensure I was following after care protocol. Should I ever need his expertise again, I will not hesitate to see him.

Dr. Haynes is one of the finest physicians I have ever seen. He is so caring. He goes beyond what needs to be done. He is very accessible.

I have seen Dr. Haynes several times over the last few years. He has performed minor surgery on both of my hands for "trigger finger release". Each surgery was done with a local anesthetic. Each surgery was completed within several minutes. During the surgery Dr. Haynes kept me informed as to what each step entailed. Each surgery was quick and fairly painless. Later in the evening of each surgery, Dr. Haynes called to check on me. Dr. Haynes is a very skilled surgeon, very knowledgeable about the procedures and has an excellent bedside manner. I would highly recommend him for any orthopedic surgery.
