Dr. Richards and his staff have been wonderful. He is a talented surgeon and all-around good guy.

I went to see Dr. Richards after dealing with debilitating headaches since 2007. Five years ago I was diagnosed with Intracranial Hypertension. Until now I was on meds and frequent lumbar punctures to drain excess spinal fluid. I came to Dr. Richards because a lumboperitoneal shunt was needed. I was scared and nervous. On the day of surgery, the entire staff was kind and understanding of my nerves. When Dr Ricahrds came to see me in pre-op I voiced my concerns about the surgical pain afterward and he was honest and upfront about the pain I would have and that he promised to take care of that for me with good pain meds. My surgery was two weeks ago so I cannot say that my headaches I was having prior to surgery are completely gone but I will say that it is considerably better. Dr Richards is the kind of surgeon that you want for you or your loved ones. He takes time to answer all of your concerns and questions. He is so sweet, kind-hearted, intelligent, warm, and comforting. I will most… definitely recommend Dr. Richards to anyone in need of a kind and compassionate surgeon. When Dr. Richards encouraged me to visit a public review site, such as this one, to assist other patients even before my scheduled surgery, I felt my health and well-being were his priority. He clearly wants the best outcome for his patients. I had a lumbar microdiscectomy in May, 2019. Nearly three months post-surgery, I can say my recovery was pain free and my overall health has greatly improved due to my increased activity level and complete elimination of pain. After suffering from neck and arm pain for the past several years I decided to see Dr. Boyd Richards. I was diagnosed with bad disc in my neck as the source of the pain. Dr. Richards suggested surgery if I wasn't able to live with the pain anymore. I followed through with the surgery and after 6 weeks I've had virtually little to no pain! In addition to Dr. Richards taking time to explain my options and the procedure, the staff was exceptional. In terms of getting my paperwork submitted and having great communication I was very pleased with the staff who made the whole process very smooth and seamless!

I've been going to dr. Boyd Richards for five years I've had five surgeries a couple was for me my bones just getting old the rest work-related he told me I can fix it I believed him and ever since he's never done me wrong he is meticulous in his work he is a great man and has saved my life

Seeing Dr. Richards for my aneurysm was completely hassle free. He took his time to explain to me everything that was going to take place, answered all my questions; of which I had many, and he never rushed me nor made me feel like I was on a time restriction. His staff was very friendly and walked me step by step on what I needed to do and what they could do for me; they even called my home for any follow up questions I may have. The day of procedure, Dr. Richards came to see me and thoroughly explained what was to happen, helped soothe my anxiety, and after procedure, sat and explained everything he had done. The next day for the follow up appointment, he showed me the pictures of the aneurysm and explained our next follow up step; again taking his time to make sure I fully understood everything. He wanted to make sure I was fully aware and completely informed before I left his office.
