Needed a routine eye exam for school, she had no symptoms and passed all tests with flying colors, the nurse insisted that my second graders eyes be dilated and that I hold her down on the floor while she did this because my child was upset and refusing. My child was adopted from foster care and has early childhood trauma, I wasn't going to do this unless it was necessary, this wasn't a requirement of the school form but Dr Borgwardt told his nurse that if I didn't do it he would refuse to fill out my form. They refused to answer my questions and asked me to leave. I talked to the lady at the registration desk and the nurse came out, I asked her again why this was necessary after hmm-ing for a bit she randomly picked "glaucoma" as the reason why because it was listed on the form. My child presents no symptoms for glaucoma and it is super rare for children her age so I knew this was complete bull crap.

Was on call and refused to come into the hospital. He has since resigned from Mercy hospital
