During our first few visits, Dr. Mattison was very nice. So when I discovered my teenage son had a huge wart on the bottom of his foot, I made an appointment. Don’t podiatrists removes warts from feet? That was my understanding. After looking at the foot, he said, “ I don’t know whose going to take this wart of his foot, but it’s not going to be me. Go to a dermatologist.” When I tried to explain why I preferred the wart removal, Dr. Mattison said,” Get out of this room.” He then said,” I’ll do 12 rounds of laser, come back every week.” He then turned to my son and said, “And don’t take her with you.” I was embarrassed and my son was hurt. There was no benefit from the laser, except for many payments from insurance to the doctor. We ended up having another podiatrist remove the wart, which was quite large, and my son’s foot recovered quite nicely.
