Dr. Winterstein has got to be THE most compassionate surgeon I have ever encountered. He has performed 2 surgeries on me and has always treated me with dignity and respect. I have incredible faith and confidence in his talent and abilities and explains things so thoroughly.

My fiancé has had nothing but problems and pain with his feeding tube. This Dr does not seem to care. Now he is having formula leak and the say he is being seen in 2 weeks ....Hello, you can't go 2 weeks with out proper nutrition---VERY UPSET and UNHAPPY WITH CARE

I had emergency surgery and he was great: kind, compassionate and very caring. His hospital visits after surgery were timely each day and I will continue to see him.

He did not tell my family I was done with surgery and an hour and a half after I was supposed to be done with my 1 hour surgery, they found me in my room just waking up.... He showed no remorse that my family was upset by this when we explained it to him. He acted like everyone else was more important than me because my surgery wasn't as bad as everyone else's.. even though I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. I had never had surgery before.. you do not treat a patient like they don't matter, no matter how "routine" this procedure was for you... This was a very scary experience for me.. I mean send out an assistant or nurse to tell my family I am done and okay. Don't let them think for an hour and a half that something went wrong because it had been way over the time you said it would take..... He didn't even come see me after my surgery until the following morning, when I was his first surgery the previous day. Also, I was not even told that metal clamps were put into my body… until the follow up visit (3 months later) with a different doctor because I refused to see this doctor, who literally did not care about my wellbeing, again. The charge nurse even filed a complaint against him while I was in the hospital, without even asking me, because she thought it extremely unprofessional how he treated me.

Dr. Winterstein is a compassionate, honest, competent and caring surgeon. He literally saved my life.

I would recommend Dr Winterstein to anyone and everyone! I have been his patient since 2009 and he continues to impress me 6 years later. Being a nurse, I am picky about who I choose. Dr Winterstein is very thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate and has always been there for me when needed. He has went out of his way to consult other specialists to assist in the best plan of care that was needed for me. His bedside manner is great! He was there for me any time I needed him before surgery and afterwards. He has went above and beyond to help me along my venture of weight loss and I will always be grateful for his help in giving me my life back. His nurse Angela is amazing and has such a wonderful heart and is such a lovely person. I will continue to see him for any future needs. Thank you for everything you do!

Dr Winterstein was smart, professional, kind and took time to answer my questions. He was like a REAL person. My experience has been outstanding. Wish i would have come to him years ago. Great doctor.
