Dr. Bradford Eichwald, DC

Been to a lot of chiropractors. Eichwald is a bit formulaic- heating pads for 10-15 minutes or so, a few manipulations, 5-8 minutes or so, which do seem to help, though a bit of a shock to the body, and discussion/demo of exercises, 5 or so minutes. For an extra charge, a 5 minute massage of tense muscles. Not worth the charge. I have gone to chiropractors who work on you for a longer time and ease you into the manipulations better. None have charged insurance nor me, as much. However the most helpful was a chiropractor who didn't take any insurance but would work on you for 50 minutes straight combining a variety of methods - cranio-sacro, etc. She charged $90. Wanted to use that insurance though, so looked around for someone else. I have to pay a total of $56 per visit for Eichwald ($15 copay, and then $46 later charges from insurance co.) despite having a good insurance plan, whatever that means these days! Eichwald bills my insurance $255 per visit- a very high amount… compared to other chiropractors I have gone to . I would rather go to the chiro. less often and pay the $90 and get a thorough, hands on you body the whole time, sensitive treatment. Currently going to a PT for half hour, who does gentle manipulations the whole time, some review of exercises (5 minutes) and finding it very helpful and no bad reactions. Copay $15 and no extra charges. Eichwald does know his stuff, but not working for me. Answers all your questions. Explains exercises very well. But I would get tensed up after and during treatment from the manipulations, and my reaction seemed to be augmenting after several visits vs. getting better. Still headaches were better. Would have tried a little longer than 8 visits but for the cost, to be fair, but all worked out as I think the PT is a better fit.
