I'm so shocked reading all these reviews, I personally only like to review service providers on the... service they provide.. but so many people saying he is mean and distant and not warm which I suppose is true, but I mean he's a surgeon nor your waiter/ not your friend etc. But people are entitled to their opinions I suppose. during my visits with Dr. Kraetzer he was nothing but straigforward and professional explained all the pros and cons of going with surgery vs not having surgery allograft vs auto graft etc. and let me take the wheel on making decisions about my body (something that other doctors don't do too often) and after all was said an done my knee feels just as good as pre-injury maybe he's only good on knees? idk I just cant wrap my head around all these negative reviews I would go back to him again.. but not for the shoulder I guess according to these comments

Do not use this doctor if you value your health and peace of mind. Trust me. He did my surgery and I wish I had read these reviews and listened ahead of time.

I went in for injury on my arm Dr Kraetzer ask how it happened. I told him. He schedule a MRI that afternoon. He contacted me the next day with results, high grade partial tear of bicep tendon. Surgery was done 9 days later. Amazing doctor!!!

This doctor is a awesome doctor did my shoulder surgery turned out better than ever and also did my son's knee at 15 and also turned out better than ever. So yes I trust him with family and myself excellent surgeon.

Terrible bedside manner. Experience my first major injury and waited for diagnosis to confirm whether or not I tore my pec muscle. I was very worried and nervous, not knowing what to expect. In comes Bradford and without pleasantries, he thrusts his thumb, full pressure onto my pec which causes me to buckle down a bit from the pain. With no apologies, he quickly says I tore my pec and need surgery ASAP and pretty much left the room after that. He made it seem that he was in a rush and had no time for questions to reassure me of what will happen next. Horrible experience. I'm so glad that for whatever reason (more like divine intervention), another surgeon, who was the complete opposite of my horrible experience with Bradford, performed the surgery on me! I am not surprised that others are giving this guy bad reviews.

I went in to see Dr Kraetzer after close evaluation in the exam leading up to the surgery I decided to go ahead and trust dr kraetzer to fix my shoulder issues as I am an athlete. Pain was horrible post op. Almost unbearable. I don't know why I went with this particular dr at the time I guess I was desperate. Needess to say after 10 plus months of rehabilitation.. Shoulder popped out during my sport after I had got the Okay to participate in it. I don't know what he did to my shoulder probably nothing at all but he did nothing to improve it. I am still having shoulder issues and instability. I will definitely find another doctor who is more credible and is really trying to help their patients. I do not recommend dr kratezer at all. Hes a poor surgeon you can tell he really just does not care about your injury.. he makes you think otherwise though.I am being honest not out of frustration. You've been warned. hes of no help.

My husband was having surgery for his elbow at Kaiser and of course I was concerned and worried and looking forward to speaking to the doctor about the extent of the problem and what needed to be done. I waited and waited after the surgery in the waitin room and NEVER heard my husbands name or my name called out. He said he came out but he obviously did not make a big effort to find me. I had to have Dr. Kraetzer paged and It was a total of 2 hours after surgery that he finally came. Of course, i was emotional and worried about my husband and I wanted to know why he did not come out and speak with me. but instead of being gracious and kind, he was defensive and cold. Too bad he doesnt have compassion for what we are going through when our loved one is ill and having surgery.

My shoulder has limited movement compared to pre-op. My limb falls asleep with the slightest bit of pressure on the shoulder blade (such as when sitting or laying down). He blames arthritis for the restricted movement of my bones and the falling asleep of my limb, neither of these things happened pre-op. The Union City office was dirty and the admins were rude and unprofessional. The OR was in Fremont. The anaesthesiologist OD'd me, paralysing my lung, so I was in ICU post-op recovery. The pictures given to me (that I vehemently requested) were blurry and useless. The post-op pain was intensely severe but I was not given sufficient pain meds and was told ER was the only option to re-mediate this Dr.'s error, but I could not travel due to the severe pain. 3 years post-op and I regret the surgery immensely, as Dr. Kraetzer seriously made my shoulder significantly worse than it was pre-op. He continues to deny any error and blames it all on pre-existing arthritis. DO NOT LET… THIS IDIOT OPERATE ON YOU!!!

I went to see Dr. Kraetzer after another doctor at Kaiser did a very aggressive knee surgery on me even though the mri showed no abnormalities. I went to him for help as a patient, to find out if there was anything in his knowledge that could help my leg from which I was suffering so much pain and difficulty with normal activities after the surgery. On the first appointment he stated that he would look into what could be done. When I returned for my second appointment he immediately stated that he was going to write the surgery as a success, he did not seem interested in helping me as a patient and did not have many recommendation on what else I could do to improve my condition. X-rays after the surgery show that my patella is in a permanently dislocated position and I had pain and difficulty walking for three years after surgery and still today. I went to this doctor for medical help and instead he was more concerned with covering up for his doctor friends.
