Dr. Bradley Alan Barter, DO

Dr. Barter is an amazing guy. Highly recommend this doctor to anyone. He saved my ankle from permanent damage. Very respectful and maintained high levels of respect and kindness.

Dr Barter preformed my foot surgery, he was very helpful in explaining what was going to happen. Listened to my concerns and took the time to make me feel comfortable, I would highly recommend him

I have been seeing Dr. Barter since 2015 for my knee, shoulder, foot or hand issues. He is always concerned, attentive, friendly and professional and helps me resolve my pain.

I would strongly encourage you to avoid this place for the following reasons: DOCTORS (in particular Dr. Barter): I saw Dr. Barter with a sprained ankle from Basketball. His initial diagnosis was two torn ligaments with a likelihood of surgery waiting for me. X-rays showed no fractures. After the MRI (the following week) and a radiologist report that clearly stated no signs of fractures, Dr. Barter proceeded to take another set of X-rays and tell me I had a fracture that apparently did not show up in the first set of X-rays. He was unable to explain the situation but felt rushed and used only technical terminology rather than explaining my injury and following procedure. He put me in a cast for five weeks despite international travel and declined to discuss the risk of thrombosis when immobilizing an ankle for so long and flying. When asking whether surgery or conservative treatment and rehab were the better option he was unable to provide statistics for an informed decision. His… only answer was "some like to be more aggressive and do surgery, others treat it more conservatively" I am happy I got a second opinion. In the end, Dr. Barter's diagnosis was massively ill-informed. Surgery was totally unnecessary and I am recovering very well. STAFF: (1) I had asked the MRI staff for my data because I knew I wanted to obtain a second opinion before undergoing surgery. Initially my request was declined because my MRI was too early in the morning and there was apparently no staff available to burn a CD for me (despite me physically talking to a person at the MRI next to the computer with the data). I was told the CD would be waiting for me at the front office the next day. I wasn't able to drive, but took a lyft to pick up my files. The front desk new nothing about my request and did not have my MRI data. Upon requesting my medical history files I was asked to file a form and they would send the data to me via mail. My question why I couldn't take it with me immediately was answered with a mere "it's policy." - UOC denied me my right to my own medical files. I hope you found the time to read this review and avoid UOC. The entire place gives off the vibe of a rushed, uninformed practice that tries to make money off of their patients. Good luck with whatever you need help for!

Dr. Barter is incredibly skilled and without doubt, the best in our region! He was friendly and truly cared about getting me back to 100%

When I first went to Dr. Barter, I was able to walk without the assistance of any device. After 3 toe surgeries for a bunion and hammertoe, I now need a walker with wheels and hand-brakes for stability and mobility. I regret ever seeing Dr. Barter.
