Dr. Bradley John Bradford, MD

Recently we had a baby that we've been bringing to a pediatrician in Delray Beach, Pediatrics By The Sea. During our visits we have been greeted with construction noises and debris falling into our exam room while the dr was examining our then 10 day old son. Our latest visit today had us walking into a practice where the entire office was being painted and the patients and staff were exposed to the toxic fumes. I had an intense headache within a few minutes of being in the waiting room. Once we were seen by our dr. In the exam room the fumes got only more intense. We expressed our concern to the staff and they said nothing could be done. It's evening the owner of the practice (Dr. Bradley Bradford) called us, but was completely unapologetic. Clearly this is not appropriate business practice, but is this even legal? There certainly is no adequate ventilation for the patients, some as young as 4 days old, much less staff who have to work in these conditions! Not to mention they… never open on time nor do they see newborns in a separate room like they promise when you interview them!

I think Dr Bradford is a very good doctor with a lot of experience which makes his overall knowledge very wide and varied. I am a very picky mother with a lot of worries and concerns having a complicated medical history myself. I think Dr Bradford is spot on in his diagnoses. I am very happy my daughter goes to him. His bedside manner is quirky and can feel cold sometimes but he does listen. He does know what he's doing and if you want you child to reap the benefits of years of experience he is the doctor to have. If you are a mom who does her research he will work with you on immunizations too.

we have been using dr Bradford for over 6 years with 2 children. Although the wait times for last minute appointments can be long. He really cares about our children. He takes all after hours calls and most doctors do not do that. Having read some reviews, I really feel that they are unfair. He works around the clock for his patients. He had always done what's best for our children. He won't give unneeded medication, and it seems like some parents just want the doctor to prescribe something to make them feel better themselves, when it's not actually needed. He has diagnosed some difficult things for Us, and when he was unsure has been quick to refer to specialist.He does have a strange bedside manner, but when dealing with hundreds of children per day, you do have to be serious. He's not there to chat with, he's there to focus on disease. The only problem is the wait time, but I would recommend

Other reviewers have hit the nail on the head with Dr. B. He is not good with kids, gives vague answers, and TOTALLY uses the "ask about your husband" thing all the time. Irritating. I used to not want to be the one to take the boys to the Dr. because I thought he treated my husband with more respect. Office newly renovated but he lost some of my more favorite nurses years ago. One, Nurse Mona, used to chastize the Dr. about his behaviors...which is why she's probably no longer there. He is all about the ER and cya. He sent my son to the ER for a minor head injury...$200 bandaid (literally). He told me my other son may have neurological issues because he was vomiting a small amount (tsp) everyday for a couple weeks. Even the med student looked shocked. My insurance refused to pay for the elaborate tests he wanted us to run. The kid was fine. He toes the line with medications. If condition A then must take medicine B no matter what negative reaction the kid is having to it. … Agree with other reviewers that he is very awkward socially and lost whatever "spark" he may have had with kids. He DOES answer all his own calls after hours which is WONDERFUL...even if I can't stand to be the one to call him, I make my husband talk.

Dr. Bradford has a poor bedside manner. It is odd that he chose to work with children. Both my mother and nanny have come with me on doctor's visits and they both thought he was awful. My husband thinks he's really peculiar. I only go there because it is convenient. He basically gives me no information and is always evasive in answering my questions in a real or useful way.The Front Office staff is awful as well. They are rude and disorganized. They make me feel like I am a nuisance (and I am a very low maintenance patient!)There is one nurse there who administers his vaccines and she is wonderful. The other doctors and PAs there are just so weird and seem poorly informed.I have waited well over an hour 2-3 times. At other times the wait has been "normal." Pluses: It's always easy to get in there. He answers the phone himself on weekends so you can always reach someone. It's really convenient if you live in downtown Delray.

Doctor Bradford has been caring for my 5 year old since she was a born. He always facilitates the emergency visits. and He even answers the phone himself on the weekends.

I left this service after feeling extremely uncomfortable. Luckily, my son is healthy and Ive always been on schedule with his vaccines, doctors appointments, etc.. However, on more than one occasion, this service threatened to withhold my sons vaccination documents unless I came in for unnecessary appointments (as they said we need to activate him between appointments). As a working mother, this put me in a very vulnerable position. It cost me several days of work begging for these records and I felt at the mercy of this doctor. I now have a new, caring, pediatrician who told me that withholding/delaying vaccination records is not only unethical, but illegal. If you do go to this pedi, ask for their paper work policy. If ever your pediatrician makes you feel vulnerable, walk away.

Not capable in diagnosis.Too poor in identifying symptoms of life threatening illness.Always follow mother's instincts,if you feel something is wrong with your child,take your child to some other doctor.He is good for vaccines!!!

I've been taking my children to Dr Bradford since my twins were newborns. He has always been gentle and thorough, the nurses very nice. Answers my concerns and doesn't patronize me for them. I'm self pay and he's very reasonable, which is important with three children. I really don't understand the other reviews, I've never been treated badly and my children have been treated very well.

Dr. Bradford is a returned from retirement pediatrician from PA and it shows. He may have been excellent with kids and parents before--I see glimmers of it sometimes--but he is lacking in patience and sensitivity now. His main way of appearing interested in your family is asking about your husband--does this with everyone I know that goes there. He is very CONSERVATIVE and definitely practices CYA...you'll get really familiar with the ER with this one because he'll send you there for any and everything. He doesn't seem to really be listening and seems irritated by children's presence. I stay with him because the office is so convenient and he does answer all his off hours calls personally. If I found a better doctor with the same conveniences I'd switch in a heartbeat...
