Dr. Bradley John Chastant, MD

Messed up my throat and swallowing ability as well as nerve damage taking out too much. He lied and covered up what he did to me. He made fun of my lip wrinkles and was rude and uncaring about my health outcome after his botch up surgery. Another doctor told exactly what he did wrong to me. Now I am stuck with the consequences and hope to find a specialist who can help me.

I highly recommend NOT seeing this physician. He is NEVER wrong and will lie his way out of everything. He will never listen to what you have say, even if you have a legitimate complaint about your health, a very very bad physician. In the best interest of your health I once again strongly advise you not to see this doctor

How do you rate with no stars? He wanted to remove my ENTIRE thyroid after 4 benign biopsies, and he put me on Synthroid. The synthroid landed me in the ER because of a racing heart. His explanation justifying surgery made no sense so I went to an endocrinologist, who was shocked about Chatants plans and reason for surgery. I never went back to Chastant. Since then with regular ultrasounds every 6 months my nodule is almost nonexistent. And my thyroid levels were always normal, he said I needed it to shrink my nodule. So now I still have my thyroid and take no medication for it.

Pros: Wait time was very short. Cons: Courteous Staff? Absolutely not. Every time we asked a question, his nurse looked at us as if we were ridiculous and answered rudely. Don't expect to ask many questions without getting an eye roll or a huff and puff. I went to a consultation for rhinoplasty. He quickly began telling me that I needed other things done to my face. He wanted to make drastic changes that I was uncomfortable with. He never once listened to what I WANTED done. When I tried to tell him about what I WANTED, he never once looked at me while I was explaining. Shortly after the consultation I ran into a few people that have worked with him. They told me to never allow him to cut anywhere on my face. Two of the women allowed him to perform rhinoplasty on them, and now when they breath it sounds like a whistle. Another lady had the side of her nose collapse(but that may be her fault). I was also told by another woman that her husband had a procedure done by him, and… shortly after the procedure her husband started having problems. Chastant did not want to deal with this man after the procedure was done. Seems to me that once he has your money, he is done with you. He was also considered a horror story by some. Do not be fooled by his photos of his work. In my opinion it seems to be photos of his work from long ago. Get a second opinion before you buy what he is trying to sell. Facial plastic surgery is a big deal, and you should know what you're getting yourself into. These comments are not meant to hurt Dr. Chastant nor or they saying that he is a horrible doctor overall. I do not suggest facial plastic surgery with him, but I've heard of his other procedures turning out well.

Did wrong surgery to fix problem. Made me 10x worse off by doing surgeries he should have never done.

Did surgeries that had nothing to do with fixing the problem. Did one surgery without even discussing it with me before or after surgery. The results of these surgeries did nothing but put bulging knots on my face that cause constant pain 24 hours a day. People , please get a second opinion before any surgery with this man. Also look up doctors that lie to their patients and do unnecessary procedures.

I was seen by Dr. Chastant after hitting my nose in a fall. He said I needed a Septoplasty, as I incurred a "deviated septum" as a result of my fall. Although I experienced no symptoms, I trusted Dr. Chastant and went along with the surgery. On the morning of which, he stated that he would also like to make cosmetic changes during the surgery. He actually referred to a member of his administrative staff, stating "A nose like I gave ___ would look good on you." I declined, as I was pleased with the appearance of my natural nose. In conclusion, I awoke with a nose unsatisfactory both in function & appearance. Cosmetic changes were indeed made without consent. I sought the medical attention of a surgeon who specializes in "botched" jobs. $10,000 + 2 years later, my nose is as close to normal as it will get.
