Don’t have time to work with rude people like him. He couldn’t even be nice to our 6 year old kid (the patient).

My first visit was on 7-15-19. I was told allergy shots would take 3 weeks. It has been 5. I called numerous times never being able to speak directly to anyone. Always transferred to a voice mail. Too many excuses to count on why shots not ready. So unacceptable and no followthrough. I always have to call on status- NEVER a call from staff. Staff seems unconcerned about poor to nonexistent customer service.

Left a message to make an appointment, recording stated my call would be returned in 24-48 hours, 5 days later, I called again. She was transferring back to the message line, finally saw the doctor, he said he wanted to see me in 30 days and prescribed medication. The front desk was making me an appointment in 90 days with the PA, I told them what the doctor said and their response was "that's not in his note", I asked them to please ask the doctor, they came back with 30 days. Went to pick up prescription, nothing there, called the office again and was told there was nothing in the doctor's notes, asked them to please send doctor a note. Shocked got a call from the doctor, I guess to refresh his memory. An awful lot of work on my part and who is getting paid. This place was a complete waste of my time.

Went to dr chips through a referal of my general dr for a rash on my face for the last two months, he came in looked at me wrote some notes down dont know what he wrote because I had not said anything to him yet, he looked at some pictures of my face and said oh my and looked at my chart said my thyroid is not working that was the case I would be dead and said my numbers were too high and my regular dr should have noticed it and when I was in the er they should have addressed it, and told me that once I get my sleeping thyroid awake this rash would go away, I contacted my regular dr and told him what dr chipps said and he agreed with me that if my thyroid was asleep I wouldnt be walking around he does not know why he chose to tell me this but my numbers are fine so if you want to get miss diagnosed and ignored and be treated rudely than he is the dr for you me just going to see if I can find another dr who might possibly what this rash is caused by

Here is the straight truth about this physician. Dr Chipps definitely knows his stuff when it comes to allergies and what it takes to resolve them. However, if you are looking for a friendly physician who will share his knowledge and time with you, I'd advise you find another doctor. To say he is brusque is an understatement. I coould barely understand his muted responses and I was standing 2 feet away from him. Bottomline: go for the treatment & not the experience.

Shot nurses are pretty nice, other than that entire staff, Chipps and his associate Miller, rude and arrogant.

I wish I would have read the reviews before ever waisting my time bringing my kids to Dr. Chipps. What people say is true. My kids have a cilia disorder and had wonderful drs at Stanford. Due to insurance their care was transferred to Dr. Chipps. The first appointment he was rude, we were in his office over 2hrs, he ordered tons of tests (my kids already had a diagnosis and did not need all the testing again), did not explain himself or the reasons why he wanted to change their medication and order more tests. I was in tears by the time we left. Even his staff said "He doesn't have the best bed side manner, but he is really smart". Well, I wouldn't know if he's smart because he didn't barely say 5 words to me and was not wanting to answer any questions. I gave him a second chance last week but again, he was rude and ordered more blood work. And he's not just rude to the parent, but very short with my son and daughter. They don't want to go back and neither do I. I will say the staff… that performed breathing treatment and did vital signs were all really nice and made things ok for my kids. It went downhill when Dr. Chipps came in. We've transferred our care as of today to another physician that can't possibly be any worse than him. Would not recommend him to anyone.

I wound not recommend this "doctor" to my enemy. He was short, rude, and had absolutely no consideration for my suffering. I will be adding this to as many review sites as I can. This condition, and it is very severe, has been going on for over 6 years and I have tried everything but he didn't want to find the root cause, just get me out of his office ASAP.

The doctor was the worst I have visited in years. He had no bedside manner, was unwilling to answer questions ( everything I asked he responded with " it will take 6 weeks "), disrespectful towards my mother who was the patient, only question the entire visit that he asked was "whats up?", didn't even say what the tests liked like, and walked out on my whole I was asking a question and never came back.

My wife took our severely allergic daughter to see Dr. Chipps, who, as she put it, "has horrible bedside manner." She said he was condescending and snippy with her, which, as her husband, I did not take too well. So I complained to them in email form and through voicemail (because they never answer the phone over there at Capital Allergy). As a result of my complaint, the Dr. did what any good doctor would do in that situation...he banned us from Capital Allergy in Folsom. What a professional, huh? Thanks, Chippsy ol' boy!
