Please run far away from this place. If not, know you might have the misfortune of a traumatic, unsanitary, unprofessional, and costly visit. I've had a lot of work done to my teeth over the years, but never in my life have I had as terrible and unprofessional of an experience like I did with Dr. Daniel Glick. I had a problem tooth for a while that needed a root canal. On their website, they mention how they "cater to cowards," meaning patients who have anxiety. For anyone who struggles with anxiety, you know how uncomfortable something like a dental visit can be, and describing it in such a uncompassionate way should've been my warning sign. They had some decent reviews, and also take emergency appointments. This was a painful emergency. Their soonest appointment was about a week out, so I had to go to a minute clinic to get on antibiotics because I could tell there was an infection. Once I finally go to my appointment after not sleeping from pain for days, they gave me… paperwork to sign with very different pricing than I was quoted over the phone. They looked up my insurance over the phone and said the root canal, post, and crown would be about $160 total, and it was $360 that day. I explained this wasn't the pricing I received over the phone, and asked if there was a reason why it was different. The receptionist said "well I wasn't the one you talked to" (she was), and then "I don't remember giving out pricing." I made sure to go over pricing, wrote everything down with my initial call, and made sure this was after my insurance was factored in. She pushed back saying "well you have really good insurance, this is a really good price." Obviously I'm in so much pain and am taking time off from work for this, so I just have them do the root canal. When you are in that level of pain do you really have a choice? The marketing was top priority, and now I understand it's in attempt to save a business that shouldn't be open. Instead of asking about my pain, I was asked multiple times how I found them to help them get new patients. Once Dr. Glick finally examined my mouth, he started tapping two of my lower molars asking "does that hurt?" and I said no, so he begins to tell me my options. Since he clearly hadn't looked at my papers or listened to me, I had to explain the problem was my UPPER molar. I am so grateful I hadn't been put under already, because he was ready to do a root canal on a perfectly healthy tooth. The actual tooth that I pointed out was, in fact, very infected. Once he saw the infection he didn't take time to explain anything and immediately started drilling when his phone goes off. He doesn't apologize or silence it, but stops drilling to see who calls. DOESN'T CHANGE HIS GLOVES, goes back into my mouth, and drills more. Meanwhile my infected tooth is completely exposed to whatever bacteria he is now bringing in. He spent a lot of time looking up at the tv while he was still drilling inside my mouth, and never once checked in. Mind you, I'm incredibly anxious with my hands gripping into the chair and flinching, unable to take a deep breath to calm down, and at one point felt pain and didn't think I was fully numb so I had to stop him. His phone goes off TWO MORE TIMES, and he kept looking at it and touching his phone. He also left the room halfway through the root canal to see another patient and say bye to someone, and once again, did not change his gloves. After this horrible event was over I didn't get care instructions, and didn't even receive a goodbye. He did ask multiple times, after refusing the first time, to give me a prescription for addictive pain meds. I reached out to my regular dentist who is nothing but kind and caring, and made sure he was able to finish the rest. When he saw the tooth, he said whoever did this root canal did a very lazy job, but made sure to take good care of me.

I needed a broken silver filling replaced. Horniak would not touch it because it was "too large", but had subordinate patch it with composite and recommended an expensive crown. Later it got infected and they recommended extraction and implant $$$$$. I decided to switch to a reputable and honest dentist and can happily say that my tooth was saved with no out of pocket expense. Shame on you Hylan's especially Susan the Greedy.

Can't say doctor is not good and nice, but staff is just nasty and rude and unprofessional. Place is dirty ,looks awful, will never go back.
