Dr. Bradley B Scheu, DO

Dr. Scheu has a pleasant bedside manner and is truly interested in providing patient care for his patient. He provides information for quality of your health while truly taking the time to listen to you , the patient.

Dr. Scheu's office rescheduled when something came up for him, and he kept me waiting about 20 minutes, for which he apologized. This was a first time visit and he seemed most focused on my meds and shots and seemed to review my records carefully. I mentioned difficulties sleeping and he prescribed a new medicine. For this, he charged the cost of an office visit in ADDITION to the yearly physical fee. This was not discussed; it just showed up in my bill. Then, when I got to the pharmacy, the pharmacist did not recommend that it be taken by a person with asthma! I called his office staff about what I saw as double billing and they explained this is standard procedure. If you mention any current ailment in a yearly physical, there is an additional charge!! I will not be returning, especially with the problematic prescription.

Very proactive

It was quite easy to talk to Dr. Scheu. I felt comfortable discussing my concerns immediately. I was pleased & impressed w/ his questions addressed to me regarding my difficulties w/ multiple concerns & difficulties. On a personal level, I felt he is easy to talk to, quite personable and one whom its easy to like & trust.

Great office staff, great nurse. Good bedside manner, good listener, concerned and competent. I was referred to him by my former Doctor of 30 years who retired. I am very pleased.

The Doctor entered the room and introduced himself. We exchanged pleasant courtesies. The first question asked by the doctor was why I chose to come to him. I shared that I needed to find a doctor on the East side of town, which is where I reside. The next statement said to me by the doctor was " Well, I don't write for narcotics if that's what you are here for." I was taken aback by this comment from the doctor. I just looked at him and explained to him that I was not there for narcotics. I shared with him that I don't really even like taking pills. He then got up, took my heart rate and asked me to lay back. He lifted my left leg and then my right leg. There was pain in one of my legs. Asked if I felt any pain in either leg and asked about my medical history and previous doctors seen and then basically told me I had three options. Go back to a neurosurgeon, do physical therapy and go to pain clinic if i wanted medications. This doctors then wanted to write a prescription for… inflammatory medication. I asked him what this prescription was for and he said it was for pain?!? I was so confused at this point. This doctor automatically assumed I was initially there for narcotics. I felt he made this assumption based on me being an African American. I was highly offended by his general assumptions, negative stereotypes and low grade bedside manner. I will never go back to this doctor again. Please learn about cultural sensitivity. The doctor made a negative stereotype and judgement about me, a 63 year old African American female, upon entering the room. Please note that all black people are not out looking for narcotics. Like your parents, some of us have worked hard in this country, retired and try to lead a normal life. This doctor was totally incompetent at providing adequate medical care to me. Please be aware.
