Dr. Bradley John Schmitz, MD

Question: Is the medical community hurting that bad they still allow this person to practice? You are allowing this person to represent you and your profession...why is that? If you can't police your own, what does that say to the entities you took an oath to serve? I took an oath to protect this Nation and honored that oath. my records are on-line and visible to all. This person's are not. Why is that?

As a matter of personal opinion, my wife was under his care at the Life Skills Center at South Hill. Very disappointed w/ his performance.

I have been a patient of Dr Schmitz for over 20 years! Lost without him! Caring, compassionate, and thorough!

Absolutely non-responsive, cold, and disinterested in my mom's condition (she's been hospitalized for four days with TIA and other serious conditions); he refused to read her case notes, call, or visit her while she was in inpatient status, despite being his patient for well over 15 years). She is in serious need of a caring, INVOLVED primary care physician, and he clearly isn't interested in the position.

Dr. Schmitz has been my primary care doctor for over 5 years. He has always shown the utmost care and concern when I share my health related issues. He is on top of my medication, is willing to change it to help me be healthier, and is up to date on current/new medications available for my health issues. His bedside manner is excellent and he always addresses my concerns. He isn't afraid to question me to get at the root of what I'm trying to say to confirm his understanding of what I am sharing and then acts accordingly. Whenever I've called or emailed, I have had a response from either himself or his nurse. I would highly recommend Dr. Schmitz as not only a primary doctor, but as an internal medicine doctor as well.

I’ve never been so ignored by any doc in my life. I was at a rehab facility and he was the “on call” doctor. He didn’t answer calls from the healthcare facility, faxes or emails in a timely manner. I mean I had to wait days to get meds after spinal surgery. I had hiccups for 7 days and it took him 2.5 days to get me a script. While everyone at the facility was great, he made it one of the worst experiences of my life. Avoid at all costs.

I was referred to Dr. Schmitz because of the retirement of Dr. Wilson. I have seen him 3 times. He is very personable, he listens to my issues and so far has been a great Dr.to go to. He knows what he is doing and I have a lot of confidence in him.

I've never felt so little cared about by a doctor in all my life.

Dr. Bradley Schmitz has been my doctor since 2005. I am very please with this doctor. He is very good. When there is a problem he always request for lab test and or he sends you to a Specialist to be checked out. He is very thorough and he keeps up with the lab tests so he knows how you are doing overall. I have no complaint with Dr. Schmitz when I go back from the Philippines to Tacoma I will surely make sure he is going to be my doctor again. He took care of me very well!
