Dr. VanderVeen has been my doctor for four years. I feel he cares about me as a person and always has time to answers any questions I have.

Dr. Vander Veen actually listens to everything I say. He takes every complaint of an ailment that I have and figures out what the root cause is. I am so thankful to have him as a doctor.

Dr. Vander Veen is the only doctor I trust. He listens to what is going on with you and will run test and do everything he can to figure out whats wrong. I absolutely refuse to see another doctor if he is unavailable.

If you like doctors who are primarily concerned with their own ego, then you will love Dr. Vanderveen. If you want a doctor who practices medicine and cares about patients then you would be better off looking elsewhere. He rushes through appointments and makes his diagnosis and will not consider altering his course of treatment if you are not responding. He wants his patients to do what he says whether or not it is working and gets annoyed if you tell him you feel like it is not working. He reminds me of the archtype of the uncaring military doctor. He would be fine to see for a cold or minor illness, but is not a very skilled at complex problems.

This doctor is prime example why I am currently searching for a new doctor. I go in to be seen for him to say, I have no idea what that is! SERIOUSLY!??!! If you don't know then why in the world would you not take the time to ask another doctor or run some test to find out?! This doctor isn't my primary care doctor however, my primary doctor here is so concerned with everything else besides what you actually came in for by the time she rushes you in and rushes you out you have just been diagnosed with something off the wall and yet your current problem is still not met! And don't even get started about antibiotics. The doctors in this office act like antibiotics are just horrible to give. (Lets give narcotics like candy, but God forbid we give antibiotics) Amazingly enough, my husband who we told them he needed an antibiotic was refused it and was told to take over the counter allergy meds, and heart burn medication. Guess what? He went somewhere other than this quack house,… got an antibiotic and his symptoms cleared immediately. AMAZING how that works huh?! Especially when he was SELF PAY! Guess you wanted to try to get him in for another visit to charge another almost 300.00 bill! Guess what Premier, NOT EVERYTHING IS VIRAL!!!!!! Something most the doctors in the adult clinic need to learn QUICKLY!!!!! (On a side note, the Pediatric side of this clinic, a person could never ask for better doctors, so hats off to those of you who serve our little ones, maybe some day they will find doctors such as yourselves for the adult clinic)

Best physician I have ever been to. He is knowledgeable, takes the time with you that you need, and treats appropriately. I have had nothing but excellent service.
