Had my hip surgery at 7am and left for home at 330pm. Dr. Walz and his staff are very professional. I would highly recommend him

I highly recommend Dr. Walz, he is caring and very knowledgeable and gives you plenty of time to ask your questions. He did surgery on both of my knees without any complications.

One hundred percent satisfied with my hip surgery! I can't say enough good things about Dr Walz and his staff as well as for Mercy Orthopedic Hospital and my stay there. Not one complaint! Very thankful I was referred to him!

Dr. Walz was very knowledgeable about the procedure. He explained everything and answered any questions that I had. He and his staff are wonderful. I have really been surprised at how quickly and the ease that I have been able to return to many of my normal activities. The only thing that I would have changed is that I had to wait about a month and a half from the time my primary care giver referred me to my initial appointment with Dr. Walz.

I had a special challenge for Dr. Walz due to fact of replacing my right hip could increase the leg length differential, since my other leg was already shorter from a childhood accident. Dr. Walz counseled me to the fact of differential could be greater after surgery and asked if I would be ok with that outcome. I answered no, that I was a very active guy not wanting a shoe lift on the other side. He considered options, and said he had an idea, and would try his best to not have any more length differential than had before surgery. Immediately after the surgery, and still hold that fact after a month, the THR he completed resulted in no additional length, and recovering very well to the point of continuing my golf hobby in a couple more months. Thanks DR. Walz for giving the additional care factor in providing a positive outcome.

Had to wait 50 minutes in the exam room...saw more of the nurse physician than I did of him.

Awesome experience; I was in a lot of pain prior to my total hip replacement but after surgery - NO PAIN!!!! Huge relief; I feel so much better and getting back to my old self. Whole experience a pleasant one - everyone was very friendly, nice, courteous, helpful and very professional. Dr Walz and his team run a smooth, streamlined operation - from the initial appointment - xrays, doctor consultation, scheduling, surgery staff, hospital nurses and patient care assistants, hospital food -- everything was great! I hadn't been in the hospital since I had my children 21-25 years ago and this was a very pleasant experience. Relief of pain was huge and recovery is good; wonderful to be able to move, walk, everything without pain. I received excellent care from the top down. Highly recommend Dr Walz and his staff at Mercy Orthopedic Hospital.

I would highly recommend Dr. Walz to anyone. In 2014, he repaired my fractured knee cap, and in 2015 performed a total knee replacement. His knowledge, and skill played an important part in my successful surgeries and recovery. His staff was professional, friendly, helpful, and attentive to my needs. The Physical Therapy was excellent. My overall experience was very positive, and made easier by an EXCELLENT physician, hospital, and staff.

Dr. Walz was a breath of fresh air in regards to dealing with your typical specialist. He has no ego to deal with and makes you feel like you are the important person in the room, not him. He did my right hip replacement and I couldn't be happier with him and his staff. I would like to add that the Mercy Orthopedic Hospital in Ozark is where I had my procedure done and their staff and facility is top notch. You are treated with respect and they make you feel like you are their only patient; the food was even good.
