Dr. Bradley Edward Weprin, MD

Our 15 year old daughter was dealing with a lot of pain from a Chiari Malformation. Medicine didn't touch it. She was written off by the neurologist as having "migraines", even after the MRI and symptoms matched Chiari, and she was given medicine that didn't begin to help relieve her symptoms. We were referred to Dr. Weprin and I'm so thankful we pursued this course! Dr. Weprin is very experienced and knowledgeable. He did an amazing job on surgery and her scarring is barely visible. All of her Chiari symptoms are gone and she has a new life ahead of her! We have two friends that have also had children undergo surgery through him and both assured us we were in good hands. I know we rely heavily on reviews, but I don't think some of these reviews accurately describe him. He was a great doctor who thoroughly described everything and listened to our issues. Nothing was a surprise throughout the process since he had explained each step and detail and was very attentive to her issues. We… were very pleased!

Terrible all around. When I took my child back for a follow-up, they told me my appointment was for the following week. I showed them the card they written proving I was there the right day, so they said they would work me in. I had already been waiting 45 minutes. When I got the actual visit, Dr. Weprin took it out on me. He didn't even try to hide that he was irritated. He rushed around and was very short with me.

I won't be taking my child back there.

He posted remarks on his Facebook that were pretty offensive about African-Americans. And yet he operates on their children.

I was really put off by him. Came off as one of those doctors with a God complex. Those surgeons tend to get too overconfident and stop being careful. This man's ego is as big as his nose.

Just seemed too detached. Granted, doctors cannot get too emotionally involved because it clouds their objectivity. But he just came off as one of those doctors that sees patients as cash cows instead of people who are scared and suffering.

Honestly, he's extremely arrogant. My daughter had only one option per Dr. Weprin as far as treatment options, which had very high risks to them. After I made numerous attempts for a second opinion(and later found out I got shot down by almost all for review because of the tight knit community of pediatric neurosurgeons) just to be sure I was doing the right thing as a parent, Dr. Weprin literally yelled at me for doubting him. His response was " if you needed a second opinion, I could have referred you to someone I know. My response: that doctor "you know" will not disagree with you for liability reasons." At that point- I knew I needed to switch doctors.

We found Dr. Weprin when seeking a second opinion for our infant. He was incredibly thorough and detailed in helping us make some tough decisions and we knew we had to switch and continue working with him exclusively. We're very grateful to have found him.

Dr. Weprin is one of the most caring doctors I have been associated with. His bedside manner is great and he trult loves his job helping children. I would highly recommend Dr. Weprin to anyone or any child in need of a great nuerosurgeon. He truly cares about his patients.
