Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:I chose health care, and pediatrics specifically, because we truly get the opportunity to problem solve together with patients and their families. We have the ability to make a meaningful impact every day that we work. Medicine is a unique field that allows you to balance art and medicine while working with different people every day. What could be better?What I want my patients to know about me?:I was born and raised outside of Baltimore, Maryland, and most recently lived in Philadelphia for my pediatrics training. I, of course, love working with all ages within pediatrics, but I particularly enjoy caring for both ends of the spectrum: babies and teenagers. I am proud to be an openly gay physician and am dedicated to creating a safe space in medicine for LGBTQ patients and families.What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:My partner and I have a fairly extensive houseplant collection in our home, likely close to 100 plants!
