Dr. Brandon Geigle Bentz, MD

Dr Bentz is without question, the worst doctor that I have ever seen in my 70 years. He does not listen to my concerns, he refused to do a culture for a long term bacterial sinus infection that I have been living with for years. He billed me for an endoscopy that he never performed and he billed me for a ear microscopy that he never performed. He only spent about 3 minutes total in the exam room with me, he spent one second to look in my nose and said there is nothing wrong with me and I do not need a culture. He spent one second looking in one ear after I asked why 2 other doctors said that I had fluid in my ears, he said there was no fluid. I told him I was very sick and was told that I could not think clearly due to the fluid in my ears, so he said there was nothing he could do and that I should go back the emergency room. The er told me to follow up with this doctor. I did suffer 2 severe sinus infections that required antibiotics in the months following this appointment… and the second infection turned into bacterial pnuemonia. I was hospitalized for 5 days with intravenous antibiotics. A culture of my sinus showed a rare gram positive cocci that could not be identified. If Dr. Bentz had performed the culture that I requested, the bacteria may have been able to be identified and a antibiotic sensitivity test could have been performed so the long term infection could have been cured and I would not have been hospitalized for bacterial pneumonia. I have suffered for months from a sinus infection that Dr. Bentz refused to treat or even acknowledge that it existed. From other reviews that I have read, this doctor is a mean person that has no respect for anyone and I don't think any patient should ever consider seeing this doctor.

This doctor is extremely overrated. Worst bedside manner I have ever witnessed. Very arrogant.

Probably the rudest Dr I've dealt with. Took mother of the age 69 in to speak with this Dr about her concerns of sores in her mouth. Dr had the nerve to ask me in front of my mother if her mind was "slipping" because of her concerns. Very inappropriate and arrogant. Acted like we were wasting his time.

I had Thyroid Surgery a few months ago. I was nervous but I have to say Dr Bentz is the nicest Doctor I have ever had. He went over the procedure and made sure I understood the surgery and that I did not have any questions also assured me I was in good hands he has done alot of Thyroid Surgeries. Very nice and personable every time I went into his office. His office staff was also very polite and friendly. The surgery went well and Dr Bentz was at the hospital at 8 in the morning I was surprised but very happy I was able to go home by 9 AM. I highly recommend Dr Bentz for any Ear, Nose, Throat issues or Surgeries you may need.

Dr. Bentz help me through a scary time in my life. He was very courteous and Took the time to explaine the procedure where I would understand everything. I would definitely recommend him. Thank you Dr. Bentz!

THis was the rudest Doctor I've ever dealt with in my whole life! I will never go back to see him.

My son had a follow up appointment with Dr Bentz on recommendation from our primary care physician. From the moment he walked into the exam room, he let us know we were wasting his time as if his time was the only time that mattered. I have a demanding job and my son is going to school and working full time. My son has been sick for over a year and no one can find out the cause or how to treat. Dr. Bentz did not spend the time to really find out what has changed in the past year or do a thorough exam. His manner was rude and demeaning. He is not God and needs to learn empathy for his patients. I will never return to his office under any circumstances or recommend him to anyone. He is unprofessional and his ego is to big for my liking.

During an outpatient endoscopic Zenker diverticulectomy, Dr. Bentz noted the supplied surgical stapler was too large and blocked visualization of the surgical area. However, he elected to continue using the over-sized stapler anyhow. The next day I was readmitted through the ER to the ICU with a perforated esophagus. It took 19 days before my feeding tube and 24/7 antibiotic drip were removed. Dr. Bentz's treatment and bedside manners following the life-threatening incident were nearly as abhorrent as his mid-surgery decision making. I transferred my treatment to an out-of-state doctor at UCLA Medical Center, where I learned the source of my continuing problems was Dr. Bentz's failure to treat for reflux which should have been done preemptively because it is a common post-operative side effect of Zenker diverticulectomy surgery.

He took out some neck tumor off of my husband. Me and my husband would highly recommend him to anyone who might need a neck doctor. I did not like his bed manner at first thought he was rude but once I released all he wanted was to get my husband through this and he explained very thing very well I really started to like him. He is very skilled saved all of my husbands nerves! He really seemed to care about my husbands recovery. My husband was have a very hard time learning to re swallowing and Bentz seem to understand and was very kind to him which in turn made my self and my husband feel better. I again would recommend to anyone was want a skilled doc.
