Dr. Brenda Harkins, MD

I do not think Dr. Haskins presses for induced labor when unnecessary at all. In fact, my experience with her is that she doesn’t pressure that at all. She believes that the baby should be carried to term if at all possible. I pressured her to induce me in my high risk pregnancy fairly early and she kept a very close eye on me and induced only after it became unsafe to continue the pregnancy. My son was born with the umbilical cord tight around his neck, so she had to induce ultimately. He is healthy and so am I. Her judgment was appropriate.

Started seeing Dr. Harkins with my third pregnancy. From the second she came in the room she was so kind. I was in a bigger hurry then her!! They have a sono machine in the office and I was worried about the baby and she just said " well let's go see the baby" The ER told me I had an elongated GS so she was keeping a close eye on my pregnancy. She is just a very kind person. Unfortunately I had to switch because I needed to deliver in Wichita. I expected to get another Doctor just like her but of course no where near as great as Dr. Harkins. Wish she would move to Wichita!

Pushes induced labor when unnecessary.

Very nice and takes the time to listen to my concerns. Switched to her as my OB/GYN after meeting her once.

She was my ob with my second son who was higher risk and was great during prenatal postnatal and delivery, she is also a great gyn doc I have had several gyno surgeries and she is still able to handle my case with care and compassion. She is now the ob for the baby I am currently carrying and I wouldnt change a thing. She has the best bedside manner and makes my visits great and with no stress. She is the best ob/gyn I have ever had and I appreciate her very much as a doctor. I would recommend her to anyone!!!!
