Dr. Brenda Roy, MD

First I can't believe that the Prima care group only has one OBGYN to choose from. I thought the staff was nice, friendly, but Dr Roy I was not happy with. I had a procedure done that she didn't explain. I think for my regular visit she was ok but if you need anything beyond that I wouldn't see her.

She was very thorough and had a great bedside manner. Her staff are efficient and kind. Best of all, I only waited for 10 minutes, at the most in her waiting room.

Clean waiting room, Friendly staff. Very Understanding Doctor gives you the chance to express your concerns and takes the adequate measures to take care of your problems. Staff in the office speak spanish and portuguese that makes it much easier if you don't just speak english. I have gotten same day appointments when it comes to having problems and I call early to have myself checked.

She has a horrible personality and is very rude

Rude, she doesn’t give you any option for your treatment. 10 minutes visit. I will never come back. Robot!

The doctor, without my permission, ripped the top of my gown open in a way that it could not have been securely tied closed afterwards, for an exam I did not schedule. I would consider this to be sexual assault. They opened the door and invited a second person in while I was in the stirrups without pants on in full view of the hallway. I am not sure if exposing someone's privates intentionally also counts as sexual assault. They refused to run a test, which had been the sole reason I had made the appointment in the first place. I have potential symptoms, but it could not be tested via blood or regular swab, according to the doctor who referred me. I would not have made the appointment if I hadn't been told that they need this procedure to test for this particular disease. The only reading material in the room were gossip rags and a cooking magazine, which just seems really sexist. Like I would understand if it were all women's health or fitness magazines, but at least throw in a copy… of Time Magazine or Popular Science so we can all pretend we're empowered and equal while we're in a "women's space".

The whole reason for my visit was a UTI, when making the appointment, it was insisted that I needed a new patient visit 1st. She refused to treat the UTI during the visit saying that I would need another appointment. When at the appointment, she asked what insurance I had, I stated medicare and she stood up saying that medicare wouldn't cover it if I had one done within 2 years. I had a UTI, I didn't need or want a Pap smear. I left feeling disrespected and not listened to. I guess it depends what insurance you have before she will listen to you. I would have rathered she just refuse to see me. It would have been less demeaning
