Summary
Dr. Brendan Lanpher is a biochemical and clinical geneticist, who joined Children's National in 2010. Prior to joining Children's National, he was a faculty member at Vanderbilt University. His specialties include inborn errors of metabolism and dysmorphology. Dr. Lanpher's research interests include small molecule metabolism, particularly the urea cycle. Dr. Lanpher will also focus on education and training. He will create a new fellowship in Genetics and Biochemical Genetics and serve as the primary liaison with the National Institutes of Health for its genetics training program.
