Dr. Brent Alan Mefford, MD

I had originally gone to Mercy ER on I35. The doctor was condescending and acted like I didn’t need to be there. I asked for another doctor and he said there wasn’t one. Well that explains no one in the waiting room. I left because I didn’t like how he was talking to me. Dr Mefford was so kind and listened to me. Yeah maybe it wasn’t an emergency but at the time it felt like one. He ran the tests and filled my meds I needed. Man my mom is a retired nurse and my sister is a physical therapist. I didn’t get the medical gene (hard pass lol) but they are annoying if I didn’t do something. Plus I’ve had cancer. Luckily just had to have my thyroid taken out but it changes things when you even hear that word. Maybe I thought I was dying and this doctor on I35 has no idea where I come from or how I’m feeling, because he didn’t ask and clearly didn’t care. Thank you Dr Mefford for caring. You’re the best. ??

This was the worst ER visit I ever had. I was told by my wound care surgeon to go to the er. I’ve been dealing with my condition for months now with no relief. This person comes in pokes on my. Doesn’t even look at what all is wrong with me. Orders a blood test. Then comes back an say the bold is fine. This is just the way it’s going to be until the swelling goes down. Tirns and walks out the door. I yelled at him, hey aren’t you even going to change my dressings since they are soaked through??? He takes a deep breath and says ok. He would better suited working in the morgue. At least those patients don’t care anymore.
