Dr. Brent Mark Myers, MD

If you are looking for a courteous and professional support staff this is not the place for you. I do not know how any of these ladies have kept their jobs. Nancy, the receptionist is plain rude. The others don't know the concept of a timely follow up. It takes days to get a returned phone call on a simple question.

When I first went in to see him he asked a total of 6 questions told then went over to the next patients room asked her a couple of questions then came back to me. He then pressed on my stomach and ordered an endoscopy. That was my first visit no questions about my medical history or test results from the past just six questions and that was it. He also seems to not care about any of my concerns that I bring up. The office has also lost paperwork multiple times and my prescription multiple times they also never call back.

He is, by a long shot, not the most personable of the many doctors I’ve had. He can be abrupt, but sometimes he makes more of an effort than others. On my last visit he told me I had a choice, I could either lose 50 lbs or I could die. I was shocked. I never had doctor talk to me like this. But I lost 50 lbs. Whatever works for you.

Zero people skills. Stood up to shake his hand, sat down without even looking at me and went right down the list of scripted questions nurse already asked.. no dialogue. never called with biopsy results. Very much just going through the motions. Probably really smart, but definitely get the sense that he doesn't care at all. His staff is nice though.

We met Dr Myers one time and was about to have recommended procedure next week. But, after speaking to Nancy, his receptionist(?) we will never go back there again. I called to confirm she had all the paperwork she needed to be paid through our insurance company, and to confirm whether my husband needed to stop blood thinners prior to procedure. Well, you would have thought I told her I was coming there to rip out her kidney. She was so incredibly rude, didn't even bother to look up my husband's record to see what she was talking about before responding, and just tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible, with an attitude of how dare I bother her and I am a moron because their staff would have already addressed these issues with me at our first appointment. Interestingly, she called back 15 minutes later to tell me they needed paperwork from my husband's heart doctor. So, I guess I wasn't so wrong for calling to confirm this in the first place hmmm???? If you enjoy… being treated with compassion and kindness, do NOT go to this office, especially as long as Nancy is working there.

I went to him because my liver was enlarged and very fatigued. I was told over the course of a year to keep losing weight and I would get better. My appointments only last 2-3 min tops. I went from 150 to 135lbs. Still feeling horriable I had went to my primary care to ask for a second opinion and actually found out why I was so sick and now in treatment. I wasted a whole year with a doctor that didn’t want to take the time to see me. See my issues. Very sad!

Routine colonoscopy. He is competent, professional, and communicated well with me. The only problem I had was his billing department not using accurate diagnosis code, hence receiving a bill that my insurance company told me not to pay. Good thing I called my insurance company, or I would've paid a bill I didn't owe.

Very strange non caring doctor. All of his asnswers to questions I asked seemed scripted and robotic.

Had a scarey MRI at UofM hospital Ann Arbor but was then in Naples FL. He ruled out Cirrhosis/Hepatitis with labs and then fixed my post up gall bladder diaherria with a drug called Questran. What a good doctor to diagnosis both with a brief visit.

This company requires you to give them a Social Security Number to get treatment. Avoid them, find another doctor.
