Dr. Brent Andrew Richardson, MD

I waited almost a year to see Dr. Richardson. For some reason I didn't rate seeing an actual doctor and was instead fobbed off onto the PA (who is frequently misrepresented by this clinic as being an actual doctor). It was very clear that Dr. Richardson was not prepared for our televisit and had NOT read my chart. After feeling like I was being treated as if I had an addiction problem (for months), I found it very strange that he was going to renew my prescriptions without knowing WHY I was using pain medication. Then, after I encouraged him to actually look at my file, he closed the call by suggesting spinal cord stimulation as a possibility....a procedure that has very very negative reviews by patients and is very risky. So he went from 1) not knowing why I use pain meds to 2) suggesting (without thoroughly looking at my file) a risky and dangerous procedure. I checked the reviews before I went there and the poor reviews were explained by Micah (PA) as being from noncompliant… patients who were unhappy because they were being made to follow a regime they disagreed with, or they refused to follow the regime suggested. Not so. I have been very compliant, and I am leaving this practice because I have absolutely no faith in the so-called professionals practicing there. I would NEVER allow them to do a procedure since apparently not reading a patient's file seems to be OK. BTW no apology when I caught him out.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Richardson. He was very thorough and set me at ease for my proceedure that went very well. The clinic is very clean and the staff is wonderful.

Rude and aggressive towards patients! Back office staff follows with poor behaviour also. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE TOUCH YOU! Don't let them cut into your body. Success rate is very low.

My normal doc left. So I had to see this doctor. There was something in my UA he didn't like but the doc I saw before him was kind and helpful and found the right dosage and medication for me after failed attempts with other meds. And I was left without anything while my insurance had to approve my medication. So I took a piece of subutex to help with withdrawal and pain with permission from the doctor that left. But he would not let me explain the situation. Took me off my medications my prior provider had me on and worked hard with my insurance to approval it. So I was given a 2 day taper and the boot. Very unheartfelt and made me feel like a criminal. I wish my prior provider never left. I wouldn't of gone through the pain I did and still is going through.

Don't go here. I'm a nurse! Police are called to the office because of what patients consider criminal behaviour perpetrated by the staff. Rn md pa's are all rude unprofessional non caregivers. You have now been warned

This review is based off of the one visit I have had so far. I have never had chronic pain until alost 3 years ago. I had no idea just how difficult it was to find a doctor with compassion. From the moment the doctor entered the room, I was treated with so much respect and kindness. In the almost 3 years of dealing with doctors, I finally feel like I found a great one. All my questions were answered, and he was even patient when my 2 year old was a little cranky.

Dr. Richardson is the most pleasant doctor I have seen for pain. He is patient, thorough, and listens to what you feel about the meds, He also knows that you know your body better than anyone. He really involves you in your healthcare. His staff is very kind and on time. I have never been in his office more than 30 mins from check in to check out. I am so glad that they opened up an office in Burlington, WA. I can't imagine anyone having issues with Dr. Richardson. He is the Best!!

Fantastic physician and staff. They took the time to understand my pain and needs. I would recommend Mt. Baker Pain Clinic to anyone.
