Dr. Brent A Skovmand, DDS

Meet Dr. Brent A. Skovmand, D.D.S.
Dr. Brent Skovmand has lived and worked in Enumclaw, Washington, for over twenty years, enjoying not only the people of this area, but taking advantage of the beautiful area we live in.  He is an avid hiker and backpacker in and around the State & National parks, especially Mt. Rainier. 
Dr. Skovmand first became interested in pursuing a degree in dentistry when he worked as a dental lab technician in Spokane, Washington, making gold and porcelain crowns.  He enrolled in Gonzaga University, finishing his chemistry degree at Indiana State University, and then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was awarded the Operative Dentistry award by the Academy of Operative Dentistry at graduation.
Returning to the Northwest, Dr. Skovmand worked in Eastern Washington until settling in Enumclaw with his wife and two daughters in 1988.  His mission is to provide esthetic family …dentistry using the best materials available with the latest proven technology.  To accomplish this, he enrolls in many continuing education programs that keep him abreast of the latest procedures in cosmetic dentistry, implants and CEREC CadCam technology which provides on-the-site crowns in one appointment.  He has post-graduate training from the Las Vegas Institute, Mercer Institute in Phoenix, and various programs throughout the country in his quest to offer his patients the best dentistry techniques available.  He has also taken post graduate training in placing and restoring implants.  Implants can replace one or more missing teeth, as well as give extra support to partials and full dentures.
Dr. Skovmand continues to have a concern for the underserved and less fortunate.  He has had the opportunity to serve others on several trips to Honduras, Central America, providing dentistry in remote villages and the slums of the large cities where no other medical/dental services exist.  For several years he has also been a partner with Medical Teams International (previously NW Medical Teams), serving  once a month at a mobile dental clinic in the cities of Auburn and Federal Way, WA.   Many of his staff have also had the opportunity to serve with him in Honduras and locally.
