Dr. Brent Curtiss Wilson, MD

First off, I'm a nurse so I gave a decent idea of what's going on. I went into the ED with lower right quadrant pain. I have a pmh of ovarian cysts and figured that's what it was, but I also had n/v so thought a possible rupture or torsion. After an ultrasound and CT with contrast he told me I was just constipated. I replied I wasn't as I gave had gastric bypass and gave IBS so I am always dealing with some sort of bowel issues and that wasn't it as I had JUST used the bathroom while there anyway. He didn't listen and sent me home with laxatives. Once home I got my test results from mercy and both ultrasound and CT stated no confirmation of blood flow to my right ovary suggesting possible torsion, the ovary was 3x the size it should be with 67ml of hemorrhagic fluid, and a large cyst with hemorrhagic fluid (an endometrioma). He didn't mention ANY of that. I immediately called my PCP who now has me scheduled to remove my whole ovary. This man did not listen to me OR address the actual… reason I came in.

My boyfriend came here twice, each visit about a week apart. I brought him in for severe bilateral leg pain and limb numbness. The first visit was positive. The nurses were friendly, the nurse practitioner was caring (though she couldn't do much for him), and even the insurance lady was bubbly and kind. He left not in pain and thought he was good until he could get in with his PCP. However, he had to come back yesterday in the middle of the night. The meds the NP had prescribed him had ran out and he just needed something to hold him over until his PCP appointment (two days later). His physician in the Mercy ER was Dr. Brent C. Wilson. This man left my boyfriend crying from pain (literal tears) in his room (which was nothing more than a curtain pulled.) He was embarrassed and felt so helpless. Dr. Wilson told my boyfriend there was no "magical cure" for him and that he "didn't know what to do for him without a diagnosis." YOU'RE the doctor, buddy. YOU give the… diagnosis. Dr. Wilson refused to even examine him. My boyfriend ended up just getting up and leaving and heading to Integris Baptist where they actually helped him. For your own sake, don't go to Mercy. Their doctors apparently don't want to do any work for you.
