Dr. Bret Lee Burlingame, DO

I saw Dr Burlingame in the Hospital with a group of attendings following him. I have a long standing spinal injury which keep in mind surgeons with far more experience then him have diagnosed and treated. He dismissed my spondolystesis slide in my lumbar spine. He also argued with me about the physicians at Johns Hopkins and St Joe’s being unable to get epidural fluid into my cervical injury due to extreme scar tissue. His dismissive and rude bedside manner turning to his attending physicians and saying “we are out of here” is so appalling I was stunning. Working in social work watching the flagrant violation of patient rights to advocate for themselves without the doctor having a temper tantrum because he clearly was not apprised of 15 years of prior treatment history. Reading his reviews it is clear this is a pattern of behavior. He clearly should be enrolled in a patient rights class.

My doctor recommended Dr Burlingame to help rule out any nerve issues I believe. I have seen a lot of Doctors lately and Dr. Burlingame I can say was very patient and spent more time then most.I didn't believe I had any pinched nerve but I wasn't sure was glad that he checked. He was Polite and listend well and I learned a few things while in the office. If I ever need a Physical Medicine Doc he will be the one I go to.

I have been seeing Dr Burlingame for a little over one year. He is a very attentive Dr. He does not rush you and is truly concerned about your health. Plus he’s not bad to look at either!! LOL

Saw Dr. Brent Burlingame for my on the job back injury, I needed to start care and get work restrictions updated due to ongoing pain I was suffering while working my very physical job. This doctor lacks compassion and attentiveness he misdiagnosed my condition, and was too impatient to listen to my concerns and symptoms i was expressing about my ongoing issues with pain from my 2 month old back injury. The Dr. sent me away saying all i needed was some therapy /stretches AND wouldn't fill out my paperwork needed for my job &department of labor, &&charged me paperwork fees despite workers comp policy and never called me about the papers till LAST WEEK!He was also verbally abusive and confrontational when I expressed the urgent manner of needing paperwork and restrictions updated for work to help my pain. He simply dismissed me and and said the duty report would take 1 week to fill out when it seriously takes 5 mins despite me saying i was still hurting, thus exhibiting poor manners,… as well as poor bedside manner. This doctor's arrogance and rudeness caused the visit to be unsuccessful, and created a delay in getting proper care and may have increased injury. I Went to a different Dr that finally ordered me a MRI and we found out i have a herniated disc pinching a nerve that is causing not only my back pain but pain in my right leg while working. Unfortunately, this experience was not a positive one, and therefore, I DON NOT recommend this doctor to anyone!!!!!

Liked him a lot...took time and wasn't in a hurry...plus..he's hot as heck!!
