Dr. Bret Hunter Miller, MD

Dr Miller performed my first joint replacement, Total Hip on December 10, 1998 in Waco, Texas. He told me it would last at least 25 years….and December 2026 will be 28 yrs. I live in Georgia and the other hip was replaced in 2019, then my 2 knees following in 2020 and 2021. I think of Dr Miller so often. I so appreciated his procedure that some have told me “was way before his time”…meaning his procedure wasn’t the norm back in 1998. Bless you, Dr Miller. I had a very bad dislocated and broken wrist. Dr Bret did surgery placing a small metal plate and 8 screws to reconnect my wrist so it would function as before. After surgery and 6 weeks of therapy. I now have complete mobilization, all normal feeling and no problems. I am very grateful.

Dr. Miller did two total knee replacements on me about 15 years ago. I was told that when the plastic spacer in my knees wore out they could be replaced easily. This is not true! My right knee has pain now and I hace been told that there is no way to find parts for a knee done so long ago. If I have problems I would have to have another total replacement which is very complex the second time around. Also, he us not a very sympathetic doctor. He treated me like crap after the surgery to my right knee. I had a lot of pain and blood in my leg after surgery because he wanted me to go home 24 hours after surgery because he didn't want to come to the hospital to discharge me on Saturday.

He operated on my right shoulder twice. The first operation,shame on him. The second surgery, shame on me! Hey Doc,I'm now 35 and my right shoulder is ruined! I had to have doctor out of Waco to fix your damage. Now my right shoulder is forever lame & forever useless! Thanks! Hey, would you mind "playing catch" with son?

Did a hip replacement. Began with he'd done approx 15 Zimmer hip replacements. On my last visit, he indicated I was the 8th "or so" replacement. Various things he did gave me little confidence. If you need a hip replacement - go elsewhere.
