Dr. Brett Thomas Brinker, MD

Doctor Brinker is very intelligent, compassionate and understanding. I am so pleased to have him for my doctor. My first oncologist just didn't want to include me in any decision making. And because I have a very rare cancer, my first doc didn't do much research. Dr. Brinker gives me all my options, and what he doesn't know about this cancer, he researches to find out. He is also willing to talk to the specialist in Boston that I saw.

I saw him and I had a mass on my chest and he said it was nothing, he said typical for males who have had chemotherapy. He did not want to do a scan, I pleaded for a scan he said he would it for my peace of mind. It took 2 months for my scan to be scheduled and my cancer had return. I then went to MD Anderson and they were not impress with Dr. Brinker at all. I ask my Doctor at MD Anderson about having a mass on my chest whether this typical for males who have chemotherapy, Doctor said never heard of anything like that before. Never went back to him again. Spectrum does not have the resources to handle people with recurrent cancer.
