Dr. Brett Christopher Fouss, DO

I adore dr Fouss. He has always helped any situation i have brought to him. He is professional and shows concern.He has never made me feel uncomfortable or like my issues were not important. I would reccommend him in a heartbeat(and have).

My daughter has been under the care of Dr. Fouss for about 9 years now and we have found him to be very professional, knowledgeable and caring. I especially appreciate his philosophy about medications....start low, use the minimal amount and make changes gradually and slowly.

Did a "bait and switch"; was definitively told by a receptionist in his office &, if memory serves me correctly - BY HIM that he takes insurance. Was additionally toldthey would file the claim for me. Also told he performs genetic testing (to see how well patients do or do not respond to various drugs); guess what? During our visit, Dr. Fouss stated that he can't do the genetic testing; only went to him for genetic testing/insurance purposes. Was extremely abrupt during session; horrible man!

Dr. Fouss has been seeing my son for almost 10 years and has been AMAZING! Dr. Fouss has ALWAYS been there for us in crisis situations and for routine appointments. He took the time to totally understand what was going on with my son and give him the tools and medication to make him a productive member of society. My son is in college! This was never suppose to happen! Thank you Dr. Fouss for caring so much about your patients and their families. And thank you for not letting insurance companies dictate how you treat your patients...Dr. Fouss isn't a low co-pay doctor and shouldn't be! I totally trust him with my most precious gift...my autistic son.

The worst! Rude and impatient. Never made eye contact. No compassion. How is he in business?

I think it is time for a better perspective. My child has seen Dr. Fouss for years now and we wouldn't have him in any other hands. He has been kind, encouraging and supportive. He has always been quick to respond to needs, and never failed to help in a crisis. He is incredible and our child is better off because of his help. He is worth every penny -- even when it is tight. I would recommend him to anyone who needs some help along the way.

$325 for initial meeting... Considering all he ultimately does is meds management I wonder how many actual patients he has. He was referred by a therapist way up North Co Springs or I never would have considered him. Now I am wondering if they simply have referral "deal" between the two of them... after all... that therapist I mentioned does not take insurance either and charges $140 a visit. I can best describe both of them actually as... well... young and smug. I only endure her therapist because he can communicate well with teens... but THIS guy wants $325 an hour to meet your teen... when sometimes a teen can decide they don't like them in the first 5 minutes... and you just paid $325! Why not a free initial meeting (10-15 minutes) like a lot of other industry professionals do?

At first I thought he was a very nice man. A little rigid and controlling but he came across as nice. I saw him for several months. I was seriously depressed and had some suicidal thoughts. When my therapist called him to tell him, he fired me. He does not seem capable of handling complex cases, special requests, or communication that doesnt fit his requirements. Anyone who challenges him he summarily gets rid of. Not good attention to detail. You can find better doctors in town with way more experience and they went to more than a one-star medical school.
