Dr. Brett Justin Monroe, MD

I'll start by saying Dr. Brett Monroe might be a good ER doctor, but not when it comes to the sensitive subject of a miscarriage. He was quickly dismissive, used the terminology "abort" when I was clearly having a miscarriage, and tried to joke around during a very sad and sensitive time. Me being an IVF patient, pregnancy does not come easily to me, especially since I have PCOS. This is my 5th time trying to conceive through IVF and I only have 1 child. So the loss of any baby to me is very devastating, and for him to jokingly say "oh, just try again" was very insensitive, and flat out rude. He was informed of my background and still tried to joke around. I also informed him that in 2016 I had a similar experience happen, I lost one of my twins but the other survived. And he is now a happy healthy 19 month old. When I was telling him about my experience he was quickly dismissive and said "it looks like you aborted the whole thing." Making these comments before he even viewed my… ultrasound report. In my opinion he should not deal with patients going through this type of loss, and it might be a good idea that he take sensitivity classes. I strongly advise he should NOT be the doctor on call for patients going through something similar.

Dr.Brett Monroe was the best Emergrncy Doctor I have ever had. I came in with a blood clot and nauseated really bad and he was very acomidating to my needs. He was thorough and explained my condition so well. He fixed me up Good and had me out in no time. Thank you Dr. Monroe for being so personable and really caring for me. It really lifted my spirits and made a difference.

My husband had visited 2 ERs in a week who told my husband his heart was fine. Dr Monroe diagnosed my husband with a Aortial Dissection and saved his life. He has since had open heart surgery and on his way to recovery. Dr. Monroe is an outstanding M. D. Who goes the extra mile for his patients.
