Dr. Brett Charles Plyler, MD

Dr. Plyler came up with a great plan of action for my mental health conditions. He made the next steps that I was to take very clear, and my mental health conditions have been greatly relieved. I have seen many other psychiatrists, but he is the only one who was personable and seemed to genuinely care.

i sincerely could not exaggerate my appreciate and respect for dr. plyler. he is genuine and professional. he is uber-intelligent, skilled, and insightful. yet he is never overconfident, nor is he satisfied with the status quo. he has actively sought out consultations with specialists when he felt our treatment progress could benefit. and he is 100% honest - personally and professionally. he communicates his opinion without subtext, but he also has the grace to honor your power of self-determination as a patient. when we first met i stated that i was terrified of medication changes regardless of necessity. without hesitation he promised respect. he followed through on his vow while working with me to find alternative solutions. when necessary, he urged me to reconsider my hesitancy and worked with me on my fear. he trusts me. i implicitly trust him. email responses in less than 24 hours. repeated reminders of his 24-hour emergency contact. in the psych-field of pilots, he is a partner.

Dr Plyler is an incredible practioner and really personifies what it should mean to be a doctor. He is so kind, caring, and compassionate. I know that when I was in my darkest hour he crawled right in the hole with me and I could feel his empathy. He is so responsive when you need him and very knowledgable. I saw many psychiatrists before him, many of whom said I was too complicated of a case to take on, and he by far is the best I have seen. He is a funny, intelligent man who has a very kind heart and will go above and beyond for his patients.

Dr. Plyler is very professional and I would highly recommend him. His hours are flexible and there is no wait time before appointmentsHe comes into each session with a clear plan for treatment and I have greatly benefited from having someone who can offer both therapy and prescribe medicine as a medical dr.I've been to numerous doctors in this field and I have to say that he is one of the best.

Dr. Plyler was like sitting across from a chewed up piece of gum. Not only did it seem like he couldn't focus, but he lost his train of thought several times and continues to just repeat what I said. I was extremely disappointed with him. When I was in an emergency situation he told me it would have to wait until Monday. Needless to say I have sought better and more responsive help. I would NOT recommend this doctor. Especially with how much he charges $220 for 45 minutes, I felt like he just let the clock go and hardly said a word, there were so many uncomfortable pauses and stares at me, he gives me the creeps.
