Dr. Brett Alan Schlifka, DO

He comes on pleasant, but that's all I can say good about him. He destroyed my father's life with his reckless way of practicing medicine. 'Do no harm.' but that's what you did. He misdiagnoses things like he just got out of medical school. Value your life, find another neurosurgeon,

His office staff is pathetic. I have never been treated so badly in my life. They are impossible to deal with.when they did answer my calls they refused to help me.

I met Dr Schlifka during an emergency situation in gardens hospital , I believe as Dr he is more than accommodating, concerned and helpful. The problem here his support staff is truly pathetic, Getting them to answer the phone , return a call, or follow thru on the Drs directions for your care is completely non existent. Considering the type of Dr he is no mater how good he may be or may not be, with a non existent support staff expect to suffer every step of the way during your interaction and surgical needs or treatment. I would strongly suggest at least a second opinion, or to look elsewhere if you have the option timewise to do so.

Dr. Schlifka has performed all four of my back surgeries. Including a very difficult lumbar fusion of my L-5 S-1. My surgery kept getting pushed back and I was suffering so terribly, he actually gave up his Saturday to do my surgery. He has the most amazing bedside manner and always takes the time to hear my concerns and make sure to cover all of the bases. I have a very rare and difficult to treat neurological disorder called CRPSand he has gone above and beyond to make sure that I have receive the best treatment possible.

Dr. Schlifka took my case after no more surgeons would help me. I had four failed neck surgeries resulting in disability. Although my neck will never be perfect he got rid of the migraines, severe pain, and has helped me have a new outlook on life. He spends time with you and does what he says. I have also been going to him for my back and he has performed one surgery on the L spine and one on the S spine. So far I have had zero improvement with these two surgeries and I am hoping he comes up with the magic again as he did with my neck. Dr. Schlifka is one of the best neurosurgeons in south Florida.

My condition was made much much worse by the procedure Dr Schlifka performed. I very much regret letting him touch me.

I had my surgery with Doctor Schlifka on Feb 11.2016 HE was very caring and follows by the book. He listens to his patients .
