Dr. Brett Munro Strong

I had to have an unexpected root canal after a crown broke and work done by my general dentist to place a temporary crown resulted in her leaving a nerve exposed under the crown causing constant pain. No one ever wants to have a root canal but if you have to have one I would strongly recommend Dr Brett Strong. After I had been suffering daily for 3 weeks with tooth pain I told him I was very hesitant about getting the root canal and really wanted him to make sure I was completely and very numb before he started work. To my surprise his technique was amazing. Although he couldn't first use numbing gel before inserting the needle , I barely felt anything. He took his time to slowly inject the anesthetic into several areas and kept asking how I was doing. His dental assistant and he word together like a well-oiled machine. Once I was numb the whole procedure took about 50 minutes. It was definitely uncomfortable to keep my mouth open that long, even with a bite block, but I wasn't in… pain, just a sore jaw. Overall, even though there is nothing pleasant about having to have a root canal, I would have to say that if you have to have one, Dr. Strong is who you want doing it. There are 2 only negative things I would comment on. One is that I had to wait over 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen and the 2nd is that it would be helpful for staff to wear name tags and introduce themselves and especially for the dental assistant to say he is a dental assistant before he starts working on you.
