Called Vassallo after my procedure because I was in excrutiatiating pain post procedure. I couldn't even get a full sentence out. Vassallo was so incredibly rude and dismissive. Treated me like I was seeking pain meds when I was asking for a steroid or something to reduce the pain caused by the lack of exercise he directed me to - even though I told him in my 2 week follow up visit that I need to exercise. He said "now isn't the time to be an exercise hero." This lack of exercise per his direction caused my bulging disc to reinjure due to not being able to continue core strength exercises. When I was in so much pain and couldn't even get out of bed, he told me it was "not his problem" because he is "just the bladder doctor." He had zero concern about the pain I was going through and didn't ask any follow up questions to see how he could help or if he could help. It was simply "not his problem" even though he caused the problem! Ladies, RUN - this guy is an arrogant know it all who… only loves the sound of his own voice. This is not the only bad review for him either. Common thread is he doesn't listen and he is arrogant - and that's kind at best.

Dr Vassallo is a wonderful doctor. I went to see him with a mesh issue I had from another doctor. He fixed the issue. He came in and talked to me before surgery and talked to my family while I was in recovery. He checked up on me when I was in the 2nd recovery room and came back to check again before he left the hospital. He called me the next day to make sure all was good. He was very friendly and kept me and my family well informed all the way.

Bedside manner for my follow up post-surgical, was horrific! I didn’t follow rules to a T so I was scolded as Dr. Vassallo had a hand on his hip and his index finger pretty much in my face while he yelled at me. Left the office quite upset- will not return again.

I am 6 weeks post op for hysterectomy and bladder lift--Dr. Vassallo did a wonderful job on my surgeries, the most important aspect to me; he has great people skills as well, often not the case for a surgeon. My 30 year profession was calling on doctors and hospitals selling hi tech medical capital equipment; so have a finely tuned antenna for physicians. This one is a winner.

My experience at Dr. Vassallo's office was excellent. It was my first visit and I found the doctor and his staff met all my expectations. I was put at ease and all my many questions were answered. I would have not problem recommending Dr. Vassallo to my family and friends.Sandra Bootz
